  • In 1978, gifted writer Ken Auletta profiled for Esquire the pugnacious attorney Roy Cohn whom he called the "personification of evil." Cohn died in 1986 discredited and disbarred. Donald Trump was a Cohn client and close friend. He called Cohn his mentor. Ken Auletta tells Jim Zirin some of the dirty tricks Trump learned at the feet of the master of the smear.

Having only the best propagandists as president is the mission statement of the business plan of the military industrial complex.

The Don should have learned that Roy died (also lived) a sick lonely man. Low self esteem. Odd man out all his life. His last years were horrible. Hallow. Shallow. THE DON is not well at any level.

Knew Roy Cohn a bit through informal dinners usually in The East Village. Charming but I think had low real self esteem issues like Trump. There's bluster and there is real self esteem.
All bullies are cowards. Very unhappy people but a honed persona.
Cohn always had very attractive well built young men with him. May or may not have paid them.
Roy was friends with Lou Katz owner of several well attended gay bars and restaurant.

charming??? never heard that adjective applied to Citizen Cohn before. He was a hateful, bigoted, dishonest, bully, and that's the nice version

mojorising0071950 ..Ever have dinner with him?..He was all those things you mention. Still contributing to chaos and corruption through his Trump mentoring.
However, he was pleasant, interesting and charming in small social settings.

but that is not who he was.... it turns my stomach. I suppose J Edgar was interesting and charming also but he was still a horror of a human being.

Truly fascinating I wonder did Trump and Cohn ever mess around they seemed to be real close and I'm sure Cohn must have made a move on him

Cohn would probably not have been interested in Trump's 3" toad stool.

Yes but only as a form of power and respect. This is how people of this mindset view sexuality. (For example, Harvey Weinstein and Hollywood’s fascination with prison rape)
