First time playing it few days ago. THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE AN ACTION MMORPG. It feels like i'm really playing an mmo version of Dragon's Dogma. Not some point and click mmo adaptation
Why do Capcom hate money so much? With the success of MHW and the original Dragon's Dogma in the westthey should know this would be a hit... Who would play TES online or Neverwinter online on consoles if this game was available?

Unfortunately the community is still small compared to what it would cost to maintain servers and translate the entire game
I would still play ESO, but this would be a perfect addition to ps4s limited (and mediocre) MMORPG selection.

@@captinflamig It was small because Japanese people, in general, shun PC gaming, they're known for being workaholic, for them if you have time for gaming, you have too much time on your hands.
Vocations/Classes:
Fighter - Good old Fighter from DDDA
Hunter - Mix of Strider and Ranger but with increased mobility
Priest - Reworked Mage from DDDA
Shield Sage - Reworked Mystic Knight
Seeker - Strider but they removed his bow and gave him Immolation
Sorcerer - Good old Sorcerer
Elemental Archer - Magical archer without his daggers
Warrior - Similar to old Warrior but looks somehow different
Alchemist - Nero is that you???
Spirit Lancer - Looks like Mystic Knight but have lance instead of Shield
Good observation but i think Hunter is bow class only
Love that alchemist comparison, it's just somewhat the Nero moveset.

Seeker: HOLY MOLY, WTF IS THAT MOBILITY?!
Actually not, Sorcerer in original DD (and online) maybe looks like overpowered but in reality isn't due too very long cast time that prevents from spamming Huge AoE spells. If you get hit your spells is interrupted and you must cast that spell again from beginning. Additionally original DD don't allow you to dodge while you cast a spell
@@histhoryk2648 Sorcerer is still op in the original if you have a basic magic stat and Holy Focused Bolt. Moreso if you're main attack stat is Magic.
@@rouge-ish324 Plus a real good sorcerer player doesn't just use tier 3 spells, they should have a mix of the tier 1 fast casting ones, 2nd tier medium casting ones and maybe 1 or 2 big casting ones when you have a lot of space

I adore a lot of these combat changes and how fluid everything, including casting, looks. I hope when we get the Dragons Dogma 2, a lot of this stuff comes over, as well as new classes/vocations like Monk and/or a machinist of some kind.

Seeker is my favorite. Awesome Mobility and High Damage. CC skills are good too.
Alchemist was pretty cool too. It's like Seeker but a Little slower. AoE was improved a lot tho

Dear MMORPG producers: This is what we want from MMORPG's, what do you not understand? We have enough clones of point-an-click-MMO's with anime girls in swimsuits. Do something new like this

I really hope they expand upon some of the many moves you can do for the alleged sequel, it feels really restrictive only being able to use only just three skills per vocation.
Would love to see these classes in dragons dogma
I hope they really do a lot with the combat and vocations and add on more skills to vocations and vocations in general
They could add a monk into the game who can't use weapons or maybe can have a staff or no weapon for fist fighting
Would love to play this game, for now we're stuck with ESO and BDO I guess...
Gourmet God eso had pretty enjoyable pvp but other then that it was eh cant say anything for bdo as i have never played it
King Haverlyn yeah eso is alright when you start off but gets boring and too grindy for my taste.
As for BDO I haven't played it myself but from watching gameplay it looks fun just doesn't have alot of content.
Gourmet God ye pve quest grond in eso gets so boring you end up skipping all the dialogue lmao

You mean on an actual PS3 while having 15 frames? Yes you are one of the few just becase even if your pc is a freeking potato it can run it a million time better than PS3.
Plus the game on PC still has a large community.

I thought i saw orc's in the game somewhere so if they were orcs i really hope we can see them in dragons dogma 2 and minotaurs would also be cool to see
I hate that after waiting since the mmo came out it never released to the USA it never came out and I bought ddda on PS4 ( worth it) but I would still would love a multiplayer version

I only played a little bit of this game but this has been my favorite type of combat in any game ngl, DDDA or this online MMO, I really with more MMOS had the type of combat or the impact and uniqueness of the hits and classes.
Nioh, DMC 5, Monster Hunter World, Elden Ring all destroy this game
@@wallacesousuke1433 You had me until you said Elden Ring, sadly charged heavies and jump attacking cheese everything in the game thanks to the way the hitstun and stagger system work and that's just talking about how easy the basic melee combat is before Ash of War spam, bleed/frost, and spells/incants...
@@wallacesousuke1433 but yeah Nioh is by far the best combat but nothing can scratch that niche of climbing on a monster while your AI pawns yell and do the dumbest shit in Dark Arisen.

So basically a seeker is a fire strider, using the most op dragons dogma abilities together, skull splitter and immolation, the alchemist is just sweet reminds me of Edward Elric and Gambit lol, I was sad for the lack of assassin class it was my favorite and with tempest it could have been as cool or better than seeker and alchemist
This was such a great game and even better combat system. Wish they didn't shutdown the servers.
If the leaks were true that we're getting 12 vocations in the sequel, I hope High scepter and Alchemist makes it atleast (maybe Seeker too)

Ive heard its a bit of a long winded set up process to get it started so I wondered before I sat down and tried to get it, is there a way of getting rid, or at least minimising, the damage numbers? Cause this game looks way too good to miss out on, and I managed to install Monster Hunter Online and that was pretty long winded but worth it. This game looks even more worth it tbh :)

Why does the warrior class still look bad :(
Don't get me wrong it was my favorite class, but you'd think they do a bit more with giant swords, especially after seeing the Alchemist class.
this is a very late answer, but Warriors get other extremely cool stuff too that wasnt shown in the video, i recommend checking out a video that shows all the skills and how they work entirely. Small example, they get their own version of Dire Gouge so mounting with a Warrior is actually useful

King Haverlyn or nickelodeon or whoever possesses The Avatar's license could create a proper excellent element bending game. The Alchemist voc reminds me and others on rock bending. Would love to see some proper blood bending.

played the class for like 100h, best for me. nothing beats stacking crystals everywhere on weakpoint then walk away like a badass, snap your fingers and make everything explode.

AndrewRealm you can have any element on your daggers but the fire specific weapons like back fire and explosive flame are fixed fire damage
One thing I love about the original game is the fact that every class is not only viable but very fun to play (with the exception of sorcerer maybe, good Lord those cast times)
But those spells look dope asf once you succeed casting them, like malestorm and high tier ice and fire spells. I do not understand why no other game improves their spells visually like this.
Im guessing sorcery must be OP if you need a mini game to activate it
