Do you no the Machado Cado 5'6 is 2 9/16 thick and the 5'8 is 2 1/2 thick? So the 5'8 is actually thinner then the 5'6, I felt both sizes under arm and the 5'8 feels a little thinner then the 5'6 cado which I like. Has anyone noticed this?
yes because your first shortboard is going to need extra float/litres , and this has it, but, also has the turning ability. my first shortboard was the firewire sweet potato back in the day. depending on your fitness level you could consider this or a sweet potato helium.
@@surfininmy40s Seaside is by no means a true Groveler. For me, it actually excels in 3-5'+ surf. The Machadocado looks like it surfs more like the Sweet Potato, but with a bit more perfomance.
@@surfininmy40s Well, of course. Any board you go up nearly 5L in volume is going to do better in smaller waves than that same shape in your daily dims. Might as well just get a Sunday or Seaside and Beyond if that's your idea of groveling.
@@craigtaylorfishing my main point is who has the money to buy all these boards. I’m just saying if you have the seaside you are good. This board is not critical to your quiver. Now if you have all the money in the world then yes this board looks fun 🏄♂️
Rob Machado has beautiful style!!!!
surf is weak yet Rob is flying all over it 😎🤙
Great Marketing and i love your Videos from California !!
Good stuff - board is FUN for sure in conditions like this.

Wish they did demo days here in NC
I was in the video
Looks lime a Tomo Evo with a pointy nose, can't wait to try it
Pat o Connell was ripping as well. WHat is Pat's weight to understand volume ratio roughly?
Would like you have same in info , i relate in terms of ability 😂
Can we see chuy riding please?
Soon. He's got a Machadocado and will get clips on it.
I second that. Chuy sold me on the Potato. I just realized firewire has a thing for fruits and vegetables: potato and avocado 😛😛
@firewiresurfboards I live on the Gold Coast Aus ask Firewire but no cado demo's around 😢
@ThomyeSurfs when will you surf and review the Racado?
@@tezf6883 Soon I hope, seems like a good fit for my daily. but not for at least 3 weeks due to surfer's ear surgery.
What Rob Machado's dimensions....i.e. height and weight?
If his 5'2" is floating him, he must be about 140lbs.
He's about 5 10 and 150lbs. But very light on his feet and obviously a surfing wizard. So rides less volume than your average Joe. As do most pros.
Can you please make a 6' to 7'0" range like you guys did with the SBOSS ???

THANK YOU!!!!!👍🏼

Hey Firewire let’s see this board in some good waves… that foiled tail can’t be for nothing!
im 6ft and 210, should I go the 6'0 or 5'10 ??
6'0.
What’s Pat’s height/weight?
Would it be a good first shortboard?
yes because your first shortboard is going to need extra float/litres , and this has it, but, also has the turning ability. my first shortboard was the firewire sweet potato back in the day. depending on your fitness level you could consider this or a sweet potato helium.
Would say it or the Sweet Potato depending on how flat the waves are where you live
If its more fun than the Seaside im getting one
Don’t see how you would need this if you have a seaside. Unless you got money to spend 😊

@@craigtaylorfishing for my 5’6 seaside I agree with you. But my 5’9 seaside grovels really well. The size difference are like 2 different boards.

Modern take on baked potato
💪😎🤙🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊
Bring back the Flat Earth and Glazer!
It was great before the Ritz-Carlton brought the crowds
No surfers really stay there… from what I can tell.
I would say don’t over size this one.
