Honestly so much of watching Seinfeld is uncomfortable due to how obvious of a setup it is for Seinfeld to makeout with young actresses on camera.
Dane Cook also acted in the 2006 movie Waiting, which had Ryan Reynolds's character also try and date a 17-year-old hostess when he was in his late 20s.
The movie kinda handled the situation vaguely. It acknowledged it was weird and that Reynolds's character was a creep for going after the hostess, but he was also still a likeable wisecracking hot guy so he didn't really suffer socially aside from getting briefly called out by the new hire at the end of the film.
It's just funny how the real predator was there in the film all along 🙃

Iirc the girl in that sub plot was also like a week away from her birthday, and it concluded with her inviting him to bed and them making out and about to have sex. But then he's like naw I'll wait a week and leaves without hitting that.

Don't forget Chris D'elia. He was living it up hunting 16-17 year olds. Literally scouting and planning shows around cities where the age of consent was lower. Its a rabbit hole, but there is a lot there. Way more devious in a frat kind of way. The only difference is he got outed and married an adult soon after to cover it up. Yet there was evidence he continued his shenanigans well after the "marriage".

From what I understand, you can arrest someone for doing non-sexual things with an individual under the age of consent (kissing, flirting, going to dinner...) only if charges have been pressed, on the basis that the adult's ultimate goal is to have sex, but it's not automatic. Otherwise, why are parents allowed to kiss their children on the lips in public?
