A little tip for playing 17. His arial ki blast can got you a whole bar of meter in just one use. You can also combo his ki blast by using a super dash after the first one
also you can freely combo off a successful barrier if you dash and use low in time.
Specifically the aerial version, I don't think his grounded version gives nearly as much
his aerial ki blast build tons of meter, and while you're sparking it's genuinely ridiculous.
@@diamonddotzip5678yeah because it's two shots each time, it's like 8 ki blast total, add that to the fact that you can do it twice in a combo and it's gets kinda crazy

Honestly I’d say he’s more of a gimmick character. Pretty good attacks and auto combo and a gimmick super dash
@@sayontheothergamingveteran6651 He's a gimmick until you're against someone who actually knows how to play him. Roshi has many ways to punish if he gets the read on his opponents. His super dash is a gimmick but also a usable part of his kit that can cause hilarious mix ups.
I love playing Zamasu! His combos just look so cool cuz they're pretty much nothing but Ki-Slashes & Blasts!

@@thegoldenphoenix3710 Yeah if you know the BoJ mix Zamasu is infinitely scarier. Every combo goes on forever & ever tag in combo can become a ToD basically.

I don't play fighting games very much at all, but having Doto explain things in a nice simple way is awesome. More please!
My recommendation for this team is to switch Jiren to the point character. 17's barrier assist is nutty, and because of that, he works better outside of point.

17 barrier assist has either saved me or got me some free combo+meter
Idk, 17 on point is an amazing battery character, you can build so much meter for the rest of the team.
Either or can work. 17 is very flexible between point and mid
@bazzjedimaster Only issue is point characters dies first 90% of the time. So if 17 dies first there goes your battery. Even worst if you've already used your spark or if you have a mid or anchor who sucks at building bar.
I really enjoyed stepping into the DotoDoya Dojo for this one, having game mechanics explained in a simple to understand way is fantastic.

About which 17 level 1 i like more. Probably the grounded planted one, I like the reference to murdering Dr. Gero more than the random Universe 3(?) super android more. But visually the barrier level 1 is pretty sick with its lighting and cinematics, and its properties are pretty cool. it beats quite a few level 3s I believe, so its a cool invincible reversal option, if someone does a safe random level 3, like say any of the level 3 beams, like cell's or SSJ/SSB Vegeta, Im pretty sure it goes through them. Can get more of a punish than some other characters can.
You make the game look so fun, I almost forgot that I'm trash at fighting games 😅

I do think the barrier level 1 looks a bit cooler than his level 3. Either way, 17 should have a level 4 where after the Super Electric he can do the barrier, similar to Vegito

unironically, yamcha is my favorite dragonball character so its sweet to see him being played here. He dont get much love.

Nah I agree, 17’s Level 1 is better than his Level 3, animation-wise and conceptually. He uses the sheer power of his barrier and concentrates that energy into his fist and that camera angle with the green fire on his hand. Chef’s kiss

I find it funny when doto says, 'sorry for being quiet', when actually he spoke approximately 0.37 seconds before
Personally, I also think the barrier animation is cooler than his level 3 simply because the level 3 feels so quick and a little underwhelming cinematic-wise. The barrier just looks and feels more pleasing to watch.

Honestly seeing Doto pick up either beerus or super broly would be fun cause they have pretty damaging combos, both have dps brolys being a level 1 but still a dp, good assists, and decent synergy with whoever else you run

Doto with Jiren and A17 is crazy, considering it's the meta now.
17's level is 3 animation is lack luster his barrier ult is probably the best animated but the combo ultimate is the most satisfying to land

Doto, if you ever want to try out Super Broly and 17 on the same team, they actually have pretty good synergy. One of my favorite details being 17’s power blitz charge assist into Broly’s 214m or 214h
I'd really like to see doto learn zamasu or something. Watching these videos is what initially got me into and taught me the game.
