I'm SO happy I found iMazing. For YEARS I struggled with the Photos app on Windows 10 where I couldn't get my photos on my PC. I have had a state of the art PC as well as the best iPhone over the years (always upgrading) and still nothing would work right. And then I found iMazing and WOW it's what I always wanted. About the "Device Lifetime" license: as the name suggests this license is tied to a device, which means that you can connect and manage a certain number of devices. The license is tied to a device, so if you change your device, you'd need a new license. This is why we advise people to anticipate device upgrades/changes (whenever possible, of course) and opt for the 3/5 or 10 Device Lifetime license as it also gives a better price per device. With this kind of license, once you've connected/registered a device, you can manage it from any computer you want (Mac or PC) Another option you have is to go for the "Unlimited devices" yearly subscription which lets you manage as many devices as you want on up to 2 computers. Simply backing up a device is a free feature in iMazing. So what you should do is back up the old iPhone. Then you connect the new one and restore the backup you did - you will then be asked to connect a device and will need a license for this. So you can opt for either 2 or 3 devices, both will serve you well. I have 4K on my phone, so don't want to re-import those...just the new photos. Again, LOVE what you have done....just need to be sure it is only importing new.

Hi there! The initial pairing of the device with iMazing has to be done through a cable, I'm afraid. After this, you can connect over wi-fi (as long as both device and computer are using the same network), but you'll need to pair with the cable the very first time. No, very unfortunately iMazing does not let you do that on the iPhone... But if you are keeping a local copy of your photo library, iMazing will be a tool of choice to transfer them to that computer.

Yes, loading and browsing photos MUCH faster then earlier versions of iMazing. Awesome job guys. I have over 15,000 photos on my iPhone. if I “select all” and drag them to a folder on my Windows computer, it stops after the first 50 or so. The error is “IMG_0155.JPG” is locked by iOS. This can happen if it is pending iCloud sync or if it used by another process. Please wait for iCloud sync to finish or restart your device and try again. Brand New iPhone. First backup. iCloud not enabled. Have restarted the iPhone and the desktop. 2 days later I still get the same error. 1. even if the file *is* locked, why does it stop copying the remaining 15,000 photos? 2. I really doubt it is locked, or being used by another application - this photo is over 10 years old, 3 iPhones ago. Any advice would be appreciated. All up, iMazing is still the best backup solution.
That one is a rare know. Issue where iOS keeps a file locked for some reason, maybe tied to iCloud sync. You can extract photos from your backup as a quick workaround, and please get in touch at imazing.com/contact to troubleshoot with us, we’ll have a few ideas.

Also regarding the low resolution: If there's only a low-res version of the photo it will export a thumbnail, if the full-res version is on the device it will export the full-res version. Depends on your Photos app cloud settings iPhone side: if you choose ‘Optimize storage’, iOS can remove full res photos from your device at any time to make space, leaving just thumbnails. Switch to ‘download and keep originals’, wait until all pics are downloaded and back up: you’ll have a copy of your entire library at your disposal. Make sure to export the backup somewhere safe or lock it in iMazing’s backups window so that it’s safe!

Hi Eric, it is only possible to delete photos from the camera roll or from From my Mac albums. Also, you should keep in mind that, deleting from the camera roll cannot be done if iCloud Photo Library is enabled on the iOS device. Does this include the ability to add or change the album's cover art? If so, could you please explain how to do so? I'm considering getting an iPhone, and disabling iCloud photo altogether. I've used Android phones for a decade and love how easy it is to manage my photos/videos between Android and Windows. I already use iTunes on Windows, and don't mind syncing music and backing up iPhone via iTunes. I have a few questions regarding iMazing as it seems, so far, to be a good solution for my use case in managing photos. On my Windows PC, I already have my photos organized into folders. Will this software allow me to copy that to an iPhone and correlate each of those folders as an album on the phone? Will I be able to organize new media/camera roll on the iPhone into each of those albums and copy or merge those albums back into the folders transferred prior?

when i have it connected to the computer to link the iPhone to the computer and im viewing photos and i decide to disconnect the phone while viewing photos, does it still show the photos?
This is a bit of a complicated question :) It depends if you're viewing photos from a backup of the iPhone or the iPhone itself. If you're viewing a backup, you don't need to have the device connected. If you're viewing the device, you'd need it connected so the photos would be fully loaded. There are 2 ways for iMazing to connect to your device is via USB cable and Wi-Fi. This means that if you unplug the iPhone, it could still stay connected via Wi-Fi (as long as the phone and the computer are connected to the same network) Does this make things more clear?

Chromebook runs on Chrome OS which means that Windows and macOS programs don't work on these devices.. we're afraid there's not much we can do about this at this point :(

Please show the windows explorer date and time columns data for a file copied to the pc. Does it still have the date created it had on the phone ? This is ESSENTIAL for Windows users as so far Apple say its impossible to have photos and videos on the PC with the creation date and modified date being the date the photo was created , that original file is DENIED to the phone user, only a copy by Apple is allowed for us to download and that has the date the copy was made, the day you are downloading it, this goes against all laws, denied the original photo with its original dates and times that display in date created windows explorer. I need my photos and videos in windows explorer and my searchable file cataloging prog with the creation date being the day photo or video was taken. As experienced since win 3.1 ! I watch this to see that, as this is said to do that, so please show it can, also that it saves file names as per original.

What about the quality? It preserves the quality? What about the option of % of the quality when transfering? Video show 95%

Unfortunately, you can't add or change the album's cover art yourself - it will be displayed in iMazing if it's part of the metadata of the music you import.

WHat about Live Photos? Never managed to import them to my iphone
Hi Thomas! You can do that only through iCloud sync from Photos on Mac or using iCloud for Windows on PC. Unfortunately, it's not something you can import with iMazing.

I'm considering getting an iPhone, and disabling iCloud photo altogether. I've used Android phones for a decade and love how easy it is to manage my photos/videos between Android and Windows. I already use iTunes on Windows, and don't mind syncing music and backing up iPhone via iTunes. I have a few questions regarding iMazing as it seems, so far, to be a good solution for my use case in managing photos.
On my Windows PC, I already have my photos organized into folders. Will this software allow me to copy that to an iPhone and correlate each of those folders as an album on the phone? Will I be able to organize new media/camera roll on the iPhone into each of those albums and copy or merge those albums back into the folders transferred prior?

Regarding your question: Individual albums - yes you can import them, but they must be imported one by one. They can't be imported to Recent albums and we can't import videos.

when i have it connected to the computer to link the iPhone to the computer and im viewing photos and i decide to disconnect the phone while viewing photos, does it still show the photos?
This is a bit of a complicated question :) It depends if you're viewing photos from a backup of the iPhone or the iPhone itself. If you're viewing a backup, you don't need to have the device connected. If you're viewing the device, you'd need it connected so the photos would be fully loaded.
There are 2 ways for iMazing to connect to your device is via USB cable and Wi-Fi. This means that if you unplug the iPhone, it could still stay connected via Wi-Fi (as long as the phone and the computer are connected to the same network)

I keep getting error 105 and idk what to do at this point, I tried iExplorer, backupbot, cmd commands, but non of those are as good as this app and I wanna know why it keeps saying that my pc don’t have enough space which is bs because I have more than 50 gigs of storage left and my ssd has 225 gigs of storage but that’s because I have a 100gb video game installed including Minecraft
And I did uninstall a few apps but it’s still the same, I ain’t sure if it’s a wifi issue or somethin but I’m so upsets and impatient right now

Can y’all please support chromebook laptops too?
Chromebook runs on Chrome OS which means that Windows and macOS programs don't work on these devices.. we're afraid there's not much we can do about this at this point :(

Please show the windows explorer date and time columns data for a file copied to the pc. Does it still have the date created it had on the phone ? This is ESSENTIAL for Windows users as so far Apple say its impossible to have photos and videos on the PC with the creation date and modified date being the date the photo was created , that original file is DENIED to the phone user, only a copy by Apple is allowed for us to download and that has the date the copy was made, the day you are downloading it, this goes against all laws, denied the original photo with its original dates and times that display in date created windows explorer. I need my photos and videos in windows explorer and my searchable file cataloging prog with the creation date being the day photo or video was taken. As experienced since win 3.1 ! I watch this to see that, as this is said to do that, so please show it can, also that it saves file names as per original.

How do you call this "Manage photos like a Pro and not talk about importing or managing your photo album in iMazing? All you talk about is viewing the photos that exist already on your phone. I'm so far loving the tool, but this I think was a miss in your video.
