Bro. I like agent but that’s such horrible advice. Jason is an adult. He should let his father know while also telling him that he shouldn’t worry about his success in life since he reach a level of success that the majority of human beings will never reach. Yes, his dad might be disappointed but he needs to realize that Jason is a full grown adult. If I were Jason dad, I would be proud of him to stand up to me and be honest to my face. That to me shows that he is ready to live his life and beyond. Any father would be proud to have a son like Jason.

Yall definitely tweaking finishing school is not benneficial at all. Just use this time while your hot to go all in on streaming. He can always go back to school. Being relevant rn is not something that is sustainable in the longterm so he should take this time develop a fan base. you gotta realize though, the reasoning for them wanting their child to go to college and get a degree is because they're in the mindset that's the only way for them to become succesful, right? in reality they just want to make sure that he's good on his own. but they don't realize there's different ways for people to live their life while making enough. you can't just say, "immigrant parents want only 2 things," and one of them being a degree. you have to think why they want the degree in the first place. and getting a degree is never supposed to be your parents' dream, it's supposed to be yours. and some people honestly do get a degree just to make their parents happy and thats on them, but Jason from what I can tell is for sure not like that. and then after the degree, what comes next? in all honesty they'd then push you to use that degree, no? that's the natural sequence of things looking at it objectively.

There’s 1 thing that people really aren’t understanding here, his parents are immigrants from another country came here with probably nothing worked extremely hard to raise him and they just want him to graduate college. Like just do that simple task and make your parents happy even if he is making millions. He even said it that they just want him to get the degree and then he can do whatever content stuff he wants he doesn’t have to use the degree. @@imwayne4159 getting a degree as a back a plan really only works if you're not already established as "making it." there's no point though in getting the degree at the end of the day if you don't plan on using it. and reality is jason just doesn't want to do it. I don't think it's wrong for a parent to have a dream for a child like getting a college degree but if that child has a plan for himself, and not only that but it works, then there's no point in pushing you're narrative anymore. you gave him the tools to make his own decisions and now he's using them. a parent's happiness isn't found in a degree either, it's just a certificate at the end of the day. a degree being the sole reason for their happiness would be getting it backwards.

His advice to jason is from his lived experience, thats why he was so firm with it. if jason called Agent off stream (not for content) and really broke down his relationship with his parents then maybe Agent would've been able to give him a less bias response, but honestly Jason should really talk to other successful streamers (off line) who have been in a similar situation to him but can provide a more balanced pov
