Next time when you get a new suit made and ask the tailor what type canvas do they use, that’s the most important of the suit constructed, ask tailor if they use flown canvas inside the suit not glued canvas,That’s’ how you want it done, fabric and lining is important too but the flown canvas is most important. Thanks
Good video I will definitely keep them in mind I have to wear a suit for work. My work takes me all over the world But mostly in Thailand and Japan lately.
The last suite I had custom made was in 2010 by the tailor who made the suits for the Supranos series. I had 4 suits made and average cost was $3,500.00. Thanks for your video.
I went to this exact shop and spoke to Jay. I ordered one 2pc suit, and 3 shirts. Trust the process and I’m glad I watched your video and recommendation.
they're not actually that much cheaper than what you get in america for the same fabrics, what you're probably saving on is just some of the labor costs, i.e. for the custom fitted option I'm paying about $200 alone in my country and they're probably costing $30, but the fabrics are going to be the same price
Why was the vest only 25% of the two-piece suit in the cheaper fabric, but 30-33% with the higher-end fabric? Get the higher-end two-piece suit and then the $50 vest from the lower end fabric (in a suitable color, of course).
Will be in Bangkok early December and I'm seriously tempted to get a 3 piece suit. Do I have to make an appointment and how long would it take to get the finished product?
these guys - if they had ONE tailor in NYC, one in LA, etc. who could just MEASURE a person -- they could then service a ton of US customers. I don't know why they don't just let us go to a tailor here in the US, pay the person 50 dollars for a full and careful measuring -- and then the suits would be a great deal.
Hi Tatlertom3090 we are custom tailors from Bangkok. we will be in the US for 3 weeks starting in NYC on 24th and 25th. let us know if you are interested to get suited. cheers
I have always been surprised by that. Even if the measurement costs just $25 for 10 minutes of effort by the tailor, the tailor could still make $300/day for working two hours a day. The tailor could also have patches of fabric samples, so you can choose the fabric there. Then the suit arrives in the mail in two weeks. Since India, Thailand, and VietNam all have these bespoke tailoring and fabric shops that make suits, I am surprised that none out of the three have the system you describe. That is much better than the DIY, substandard products from Hockerty, iTailor, etc. where a customer has to measure themselves and there is always a screwup.
@@suitcutbespoketailor i know its been 4 months but do you have place where i can contact you to even set up appointment? Im currently about to visit thailand in about 3 months. Do you guys have costum stitches? I would love to stich my name there
