seriously tho, i couldn't put myself to do it the "legit" way, it's so frustrating even with this method of loading the save file, i can't imagine myself having to restart from the very beginning after getting grabbed by the guests or the chef at the elevator
that sausage trick was a pain in the ass....once I finally figured it out, he just kept eating me immediately...just kept trying till I got lucky. at least it was at the checkpoint
sigh, me too edit: for those stuck on the stampede, simply run and don't spam jump when you enter the room with the staircase. You need to be able to run when you jump from the fallen bookshelf to the steps. You may need to let go of the sprint button a little before the second fallen bookshelf, climb over it and then sprint and make the jump.
Does anyone know if the sausage skip is worth it? Truth fully I have never even reached the guest room on my runs but deciding to replay the chapter has made me realise how that table is one of the hardest parts of the game to not die on. Should I give it a chance or am I more likely to die while doing so?
They fixed chef elevator glitch when in the guest area (if, instead of hiding, you wait for the elevator doors to open then jump in when the chef yells, the elevator doors WILL NOT close YOU WILL BE CAUGHT). You HAVE to hide in the bathroom / break the mirror / walk the pipes back to the elevator. Also- I could NOT get the kitchen hook-through-wall glitch to work. A glitch that did work though is the sausage one to avoid having to run across that super sketchy guest table. You just have to practice so when you go for the run you can get the glitch within a few tries.
I haven't tried the elevator trick for this chapter yet (really want to because the pipe in that hallway is the bane of my fucking existence and I'm trying to get the Hard to the Core trophy), so I can't really say if it works or not. Though seeing the other reply to your comment, and the fact that I just learned how to do, and successfully pulled off the hook warp trick at the end of the kitchen section, it might just be your save file or something. Maybe reinstall the game and start a new playthrough? Edit: Now that I have attempted it, I can say with absolute fact that the chef/elevator trick works. I practiced it many times and found it reliable enough to use on my Hard to the Core run (as well as the hook warp). Tips for both. Hook warp in kitchen area (chapter 3): Move Six as close to the edge of the plank as possible without falling. This is because I found that when you're pressed flush against the wall attempting it and miss, Six can fall and the chances of you dying that way are high. It isn't necessary for the warp itself to work, but it's a security net in case you mess up. Better to wait for one more hook than having to climb back up the trash shoot and dish cupboard, or worse, have to restart a playthrough. The trick to make the hook warp work is to face the wall (the direction the hooks are going) and jump and grab JUST as the hook starts to tilt forward from bumping into the wall. Really watch this guy's video for the kitchen speed run tricks, he zooms in and shows optimal moment to grab the hook. Elevator skip past chef in guest area (chapter 4): As soon as you drop down from the previous room, wait by the right of the elevator and press flush against the wall. Just as the guy says, wait for the "scream" yell sound that indicates the chef has seen you and is giving chase. Then run left and up. Running just up will get Six stuck on the wall and you will be caught. The first time I attempted this, I also got the thing where the elevator doors didn't close. But it only happened once and after that I was able to execute it perfectly. I think it's either you or the chef that's standing in the way of the elevator doors so they won't close. And before anyone replies and says, "that's silly, why would it be that way", the game devs bothered to put in details in the game like the lighter Six has gets blown out by wind from a fan you pass in the hallway to the second hunger in chapter 2 right before you deal with the janitor long-arm boi. And water doesn't just ripple, it splashes up when Six jumps in it, and beds, carpet/cloth, and sponges (in the kitchen) make softer sounds and squish under Six's weight. So it makes sense that another detail they'd add is elevator doors not closing when an object is blocking the entrance, since that's how real elevators work. Anywho, my point is you either aren't moving far enough back into the elevator and YOU are the one standing in the way of the doors closing, or you're doing it a tad bit early (or maybe standing too close) and not allowing the chef to come fully out before going in. It really is all about timing and placement. Just practice several times until you get it. Hope this helps, and happy gaming.~
My opinion has since changed. Little Nightmares is an amazing game in it’s own unique way. There’s something about Little Nightmares 1 that no other game can replicate, not even little nightmares 2.
this might be because he is stuck in the door way of the elevator. try doing a slightly extended version of the skip where you run towards the camera and then go left and slide beneath his grab and run into the elevator.
I tried the sausage one but didn't work idk it was patched or what. So I tried to fight thru them hundreds of times to when I gave up the game then tried again and made it thru. I gotta admit that level part is frustrating. But very cool game forsure 👌
chef grabbed me while he was still in the elevator (I must've been to close) and the game experienced a fatal error. anyone know why the error occurred?
I don't have the technical know-how, but that's typically because you get into a situation where the game genuinely isn't prepared to deal with it in any capacity. So, maybe it was either because the game was set up to remove the chef ASAP once they complete their chase to the bathroom after you - or, which seems more logical, the game didn't anticipate someone dying on that "moving" surface and couldn't sort out a checkpoint for you to spawn at?
4:10 "After hugging the nome"
Ah yes. Hugging. Now with teeth.
Anyone else notice how he manages to break the ankles of every monster he comes across
I FUCKING GOT THE ACHIEVEMENT. AFTER HOURS HAVING TO RESTART AND LOAD A SAVE FILE A GOT IT. HOLY FUCK THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THESE VIDEOS.

I see baby guest in the thumbnail. I like the video.
@armadylan pretty sure they were talking about the "cheekful" guest
He said six hugged the nome even tho six just killed the nome
thank you for showing the sausage skip, it was all i needed to finally finish the achievement
These videos help so much! Thanks!
This dude jumps around during the final guests chase like a frog but when i do it i lose stamina from just jumping the basic obstacles
sigh, me too

u deserve way more subs dude
Why do the guests grab at you and eat you if they manage to grab you? It's the same thing on their plates.
yeah, let that sink in a bit.
extra snack
Its to show how greedy and gluttonous they are. They have it all, but chose to go after those who have less and are not a threat.
Fresh meat
Did you just say “after hugging the nome” 👁👄👁
😔

The chef elevator thing still works, just did it.

I thought it didnt worked but i used it and were in 2023 it still works
Stills works, did it today
time to practice
Could you do speed run guides about other games
Probably not, why would you want to? Little Nightmares is the best game that has ever been created.
@@upstairsdownstairs I mean its good, but.... Not sure if its the Best game or not

@@upstairsdownstairs yeah you are right.
for the elevator part how? every time i try he blcoks my path, or he isnt outside enough
The elevator wont close for me when doing the chef skip :/

I absolutely hate the part where you run across the table
