This is totally disgusting! The teacher is always the one to grade papers and should be properly educated to speak with student’s and explain strength’s, weaknesses, and ways of correcting the problems or giving praise for good work! I think it’s more bullshit!

There are plenty bad irresponsible people in every profession, teachers included! Some of the teachers I know are jokes. 🤮

If teachers don't want to take the time to grade essays, they shouldn't assign them. If they still do assign them, they shouldn't require more than 5 pages. I think that's manageable for both students and teachers.

This comment shows a complete lack of understanding of how the education system works. Teachers usually don't set essays, they are told what to set, although it may depend on the age range of the students involved. Most people marking essays are expected to complete the marking is very unrealistic time frames. Using AI to help mark things to an unrealistic schedule when you are overworked is not only smart, it's a logical response to an absurd system that take advantage of people.
For years education has pushed the people doing the educating on the frontlines, paying less and expecting more. Sadly, this situation is only really something other educators will empathise with. Everyone else just expects more for less, and it to all be top quality and screw the teachers.

I appreciate this video especially now that I have been made aware that my current English professor has been grading our work with ChatGPT, yet states very clearly in the instructions for the papers and exams that we are not to use it ourselves. Sadly ironic.

teachers are probably the most clueless about all this, running around trying to catch up on something they got no idea about

You have to write one essay, maybe two. Your teacher has to evaluate 200 essays. AI will be a tremendous help to your teacher not just in giving feedback, but in giving useful and accurate feedback.
