मैं यूपी के अवध प्रान्त से हूँ हम भी इसे रिकवछ ही कहते हैं परन्तु उड़द और चना दाल को भिगो कर पीस कर उससे बनाते है और यदि सूखा पकौड़ी की तरह खाना हो तो चौरथ (भीगे चावल का पेस्ट बेसन) में लपेट कर पकौड़ी जैसा तल कर इमली या सूखा आम की चटनी से खाते है 😋
I'm from Karnataka.. we call it Pathrode... usually we make it in rainy season using wild Arabi leaves we call it marakesu... we do it like make the batter n then chop leaves n mix with batter n steam. Then we put tadka n fry.. my favorite

We call them pathrodé, in Konkani. They seem to be made in some form or other all over our country. We do steam them, but don't fry the slices. We make a ghassi for accompaniment, and ladle it over the slices while serving. Otherwise drizzle fresh coconut oil over the slices. This is enjoyed only by those who have grown up with the flavour of coconut oil as part of their daily diet
Pathrode we call this, ingredients and making process is fully different, our Udupi is very famous for this ,now this is the season,we get more colocasia leaves, naturally it grows every where, very tasty and good for health.
