Oh and if you are going to do the mangroves. Please wear a long sleeve and lots lots of big spray!!!! First tunnel of groves is like a feeding ground! Made for the rest of it to be uncomfortable…. And please note getting to mangroves takes a truck and lots of time!!! The pot holes and location to get in kayaks not what you would imagine!
Woohoooo! Thank you for compiling this awesome list of things to do on Bonaire. I'd love to add golfing to your list too. Super fun. Please come back to the landsailing track as well!
Spent 8 days there, loved it in its own way. I don’t scuba but my family does. I usually snorkel around or above them when we travel, however cannot do that here and that’s okay. But snorkeling not great except at two locations, we found. Ahhh Sorobon, loved it! Windsurf, yes!!! Coming back to do that! Listen, the problems we dealt with were expensive food eating out (xmas) and Washington Park… yes nice to visit… but let’s be honest the roads… they made it all horrible and dreading to do!! Get the government to fix them, all over the island! Rent a truck… automatic preferably or it’s hard with how bad the roads are! Skip the liquor tasting, it’s awful, and their drinks at restaurants are not good! However get to the blue house to get fresh fish and ask them to get whitefish, mostly only tuna and barracuda… by end of week fresh tuna is just truly not wanted anymore! Do NOT go to Karels! Never went ourselves, walked out after seeing menu and horrible attitude from waitress. But, do drive and see it all, roads and all…. Do it!!
Hi Inhwan! Most restaurants on Bonaire serve seafood to some degree. I’m not sure about finding lobster specifically, but for seafood we really like La Cantina, It Rains Fishes and Foodies. Enjoy your trip!
It Rains Fishes is good but a few others up north of that also have what you are liking for sometimes. The island is on their own time, and that’s okay. Many people on island eat in… great groceries!
Hello, we are planning to take on tour through the cruise ship to the salt area, you mentioned boating, can you rent a boat or only a tour? Also, if we have half day after our tour should we drive around and hit some beaches or go to Klein island? We are going to A and B islands afterward. We considered landsailing but it looks kind of boring on such a small track. We like adventure and trying something new when we stop on these islands. Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate the information.
Do you know if there are any private tour companies. Have a family of 6 going and would like to hit several beaches, salt flats etc at our own pace. BTW which beaches would you recommend for crystal clear beautiful caribbean waters - even though they are rockly. All recommendations welcome. We will be there Oct of 22
@@LindaD2023 One day, gotcha. That definitely changes my answer. This is one of the videos I’ve been meaning to make (One Day: What to Do). To answer your specific question, I’m not familiar with any private guides. I’m quite certain they exist, and recommend posing your question on TripAdvisor. I personally recommend renting a vehicle for a self guided tour. Bonaire is incredibly easy to navigate. If you decide to go the self guided route, let me know and I can offer suggestions on an itinerary.
@@KevinandLizGrogan Self guided tour w/ recommendations from yal -- I'm all in! I did see some talk about renting golf carts, but never really thought about doing an island tour on our own. Hit me up with all the suggestions you have please! And yes we need a video for what to do with only 1 day in Bonaire. - Thanks!!!

Awesome, thanks so much for letting us know!
Thanks for including landsailing! Great list ... Bonaire has so much to offer!
We couldn’t have this list without Landsailing!
Hey, what about the donkeys? You can spend a few hours getting chased by donkeys at the Donkey Sanctuary.
Interesting overview of things to do in Bonaire. Nice video. Brings back good memories of my visits of this island.
Thanks for watching Mario!
