  • Footage of the highlights of my climb up Mount Rainier with RMI Expeditions on July 3, 2017. RMI provided a great service that educated us and got us up and down safely with the help of our guides, Zeb, Megan and Alex. I'd recommend them to anybody interested in reaching the summit of Rainier for their first time. It was a blast.

    This was the best Mt Rainier summit video I've seen, and I've seen a lot

    I appreciate your video and the effort put into making it. As an 70 year old broken down climber I really like it that their is very little corny music, just the wind , crampons and ice axes doing their thing. Thanks.

    Absolutely incredible. Heroic. One day i will walk on that mountain, Lord willing.

    nice climb! Nice video recording too. It looks like it is easy to find the way up because there is a path all the way due to amount of people that climb this mountain all the time (in season).

    NO MUSIC? WOW. LOVE IT
    Thank you so much guys for taking me there with you, and with the real sound?
    An experience that I could not have, but you provide to all of us.
    Any more videos Like this?

    Haha, I feel like explaining the part where we drive up to our AirBnB...We were re-enacting our first time driving up to. I think we may have over sold it.

    My husbands from Florida. He climbed Rainer in swim shorts with no gear. Said it was the best. More people need to get outdoors. Great video. It is Free to climb. No rules.

      @ethanpnw338 6 лет назад +4

      Andrea Kays it isn’t free to climb, and there are rules, clearly outlined. Also, your husbands lucky to be alive, and if he’s so reckless as to attempt a stunt like that he doesn’t deserve to climb

    • @andreakays3453
      @andreakays3453 6 лет назад +1

      It is Free to climb. Starting from Paradise Lodge. Warning sight above tree line warns about crevases and white outs. No rules tho. Its not a stunt to live free. Its a stunt to charge peoppe money to explore like your the only one .

    • @ethanpnw338
      @ethanpnw338 6 лет назад +3

      Andrea Kays yes I know about the warning signs. I’ve been to the summit. There is a fee to climb the mountain above ten thousand feet. It’s not free to climb Mt. Rainier. There are rules, such as leave no trace and the permit you must acquire. I can link you to the official National Park Service website if you’re too ignorant to understand and need clarification!

      Andrea Kays also I can link you to a dictionary and grammar check

    Congrats on the summit fellas! Hope to get a chance to climb next weekend. It will be luck of the draw for us, as all reservations have been booked (looks like we will be crossing our fingers for a walk up permit)! It's going to be quite the adventure!

    How long did it take to climb to the top of rainier, also how what was the cost? How cool was it to be standing on top of Volcano? I am from Utah and we have Kings Peak which is 13,534 feet, I have put that on my bucket list to do. the view of your climb up Rainier is gorgeous.

      Car to car (no camping) can be done in 20 hours without pushing the pace at all. $65 entry permit, $29 climbing fee. Plus gasoline.

    Damn, I was the RMI team that summited on the 7th, watching this video and seeing how insignificant the wind was compared to our climb is annoying lol! Awesome video though! Check out our video at Washington 2017 mt rainier/seattle

      Colin Smith I used the GoPro Hero5 Black. It captured the experience in a way that pictures just couldn't. Also, you don't really have much time to stop and take pictures along the way so I think it was well worth it.

    • @Olympicrounds
      @Olympicrounds  7 лет назад

      Sorry for the late response. I used a Polar Pro backpack mount on everything below Camp Muir, and then the curved adhesive mount that comes with the gopro on my helmet above Camp Muir.
