@@wastermanI think loud was pretty much equal with optic until optic was disbanded (completely ruined the valorant timeline IMO). Aspas and yay hard carried both teams though. Both teams fell off hard after losing their star. Yay was statistically the best player in 2022 by a pretty big margin and Aspas is definitely my front runner for GOAT. The main difference between the teams is that when optic broke apart the core (FNS crashies and victor) lost their best player and a joke (ardiis) filled his role, while the Loud core kept aspas and replaced pancada (their weakest link) and Sacy who was good but definitely not better than aspas or less and probably saadhak. if both teams had stuck together I think their rivalry would’ve continued in 2023 and fnatic might not have seemed so dominant.

@jimmythe349as a neutral fan the grand final that year felt very very strong for LOUD, even during the overtimes it felt more like Optic clawing their way back + they went 9-1 in playoff maps, same as Tokyo FNC, but not a single series went down to the wire the way that upper final between Fnatic and EG did I do think Fnatic is better since LOUD lost to Optic in groups, but I think LOUD are right behind Fnatic
I have major EMEA bias, but the best ever winner is GMB or FNC, the reason for GMB is that they were the 1st ever team to make back to back grand finals and a 13-0 in a semi-final On the other hand Tokyo FNC was the only international where it wasn't a question who would win
Hi! I'm the one who has been running this bracket! I'd just like to say it was super fun to run the bracket, as a GenG fan it was fun to see them make top 3. In terms of how to compare the teams I suggested at the start to imagine each team was playing on their own patch(like 2021 teams would have instant dash right click refresh Jett, 2022 would have prime Chamber etc) to give the 2021 teams a bigger advantage so they didn't just all get swept(but they got swept anyway lol). Masters 3 Champions (M3C)/ gambit esports could’ve been the best team in 2022 if there wasn’t from circumstances out control. Losing Redgar, Sheydos, D3FFO, Chronical, and nAts. All together. It is interesting that Gambit could’ve pioneer a lot further the entire lurking style.
in my opinion there is no better lineup in valorant history than LOUD 22 Aspas: Goat Duelist and probably Goat Player Less: Goat Sentinel Saadhak: Minimum top 2 IGL All time Sacy: The First and for now the Only player to win both Masters AND Champions pANcada: Best "Prime" of a Controller Fnatic had to fight for the lives to barely win against LOUD 23, a worse version of LOUD 22, and at Champions they lost to LOUD 23 TWICE
@@30titinho FNC 23 was Leo(the best player in 23), Chronicle (right up there as one of the best), Derke who was just a hard hitting duelist, Alfajer (who was also considered one of the best players of 23), and a boaster who was fns or saadhak level for 23 so fnc 23 is clear for me. And fnc 23 was never fighting for their lives lol.
i wrote "fighting for their lives" because they had to pull off the biggest comeback in valorant history to win against a worse version of LOUD. Out of the teams the other guy said, Fnatic is the only one that comes close role by role, Aspas and Derke, Less and Alfajer, Saadhak and Boaster... etc. But Fnatic still went 1-2 in series against cauanzin and tuyz. Chronicle in his three matchups against LOUD 23 went -11, -15 and -22. All that makes me believe that LOUD 22 just wins the matchup.

How are you not rating loud highly? In 2023 with a worse roster they beat fnatic twice, should’ve beat them at lock in, and went REALLY close against champs EG, the closest any team got to beating them. Now imagine if they had sacy and pancada in the team
If LOUD 2022 roster played today they wouldn't do well. Sacy and pancada aren't that good anymore. There's a reason why NAVI didnt do anything in 2024 despite having their whole roster that won copenhagen
sacy was still winning a masters this year while playing in a different language and pancada is still insane mechanically which you can see by looking at all his recent matches, if you can look past team results that is. Besides, the case that’s being put here isn’t if all teams reunited today, but if you brought those players in their versions at the time they won and just let them catch up on all the current strats, current form doesn’t matter
Probably unpopular but i'd go 1. Fnc Tokyo 2. Optic 3. Sen Reykjavik I just think that 2022 Yay and Tenz at Reykjavik were so clear of the competition that they deserve the spot.
Imo it‘s 100% between LOUD and Fnatic like the final happened. Imo LOUD would still win most of the time tho, Aspas vs Derke is on par, pAncada clears Boaster individually and so does Saadhak (whoever you want to put against Boaster, his Controller role or IGL role) Less clears Alfajer, Leo clears Sacy of course and Chronicle is better than Saadhak if you look at the Flex role and on par with pAncada if you want to put those head2head if you have the IGLs up against each other. So individually LOUD is just better and would win more games against Fnatic than they would lose imo. Greatest team ever would be 2022 LOUD - Sacy + Cauanzin anyways
@ 1. As said it’s hard to compare Chronicle and pAncada because of different roles but so is to compare both of them to either Boaster or Saadhak because they IGL, pAncada was the best Controller in the world and Chronicle was the best Flex in the world, so yes they are on par. 2. As you can see, in most stats fnc performs way better, end of discussion
Why is optic here?
Edit: nvm I should watch the video before commenting
Imo Optic's lan title is hard over rated here, they won a mickie mouse event on the merit of an early meta read
Im surprised the NA fans werent more biased. Most of the time they are much more biased
FPX hate by the community is crazy, love your take about the team!
Y’all sleeping hard on that FPX squad. They were untouchable. Peak Ardis on chamber, sugetsyu…look peak FPX beat PRX when PRX made it the furthest in a tournament they’ve ever made it. There’s precedent to think that team in their prime would beat last years GENG and EDG and remember they BEAT FNATIC. I think peak LOUD is the only team that would have a chance. Maybe prime GAMBIT.
I think Gambit 1st Tokio fnc 2nd and FPX 3rd
EG would destroy both EDG and LOUD. Who tf is voting on these matchups?
EDG clears this bracket ngl
the bracket completely glazed loud, an accurate final would've unironically been the two fnatics
