    15 years ago I had a bad case of prostate infection. It was so tight I could not pee at all.
    Ended up in ER. They put in catheter to empty my super extended bladder. I was sent home with catheter line tied to my lower leg going into plastic bag. They prescribed CIPRO for for 10 days. I did not bother reading paperwork that came with it. I trusted my urologist. My infection got better but I did have weird side effects. Page forward to 2023. I felt I had UTI. Urologist took the urine sample and said that I did have infection. He also put me on CIPRO. Went to my pharmacy to get it and the only thing pharmacist tole me was to stay away from direct sunlight. I read 8 pages of paperwork that was included listing all the possible side effects. t read like a horror story of the worst kind...8 pages !!! One of the ingredients is Polyethylene Glycol commonly found in antifreeze (coolant for your car) which is deadly if ingested by people or animals. If this is the best science can do, I'll go to a witch doctor. Why was this drug authorized?

    After I took Cipro, just one dose, I woke up and couldn’t move. Within 45 minutes it happened. I changed to a different antibiotic and was ok. After another uti, I was prescribed it a second time not knowing that was the problem. Again, within an hour I couldn’t move my body and couldn’t even talk. Thankfully, I was very lucky and I was able to move again after a couple of hours. I immediately called my doctor and my pharmacist to tell them to NEVER give me that again. I even got a medical alert bracelet stating I’m allergic to it. It was that scary. There’s much safer antibiotics out there that you should use. Western medicine can be so scary

    Took cipro for a month, every joint in my body was in pain and started having panic attacks. Started taking it right after I first started going to the gym and assumed all the pain was normal from working out. That was years ago, I’m 28 now and walking barefoot on hard surfaces is unbearable. Knees and calves hurt every day at work. Can’t raise my left hand straight in the air without it feeling like I’m gonna dislocate my shoulder. Tell doctors this is going on and I’m pretty sure it’s from cipro, they test me for arthritis, it comes back negative, write a script for Tylenol and send me home

I could not keep any food in me on top of my already painful face. By the 5th day I had lost 10lbs and could no longer walk straight. I walked into the ER and they thought I had Corona virus but I had to insist it was the antibiotic. They sent a culture to the lab and then they diagnosed me with CDAD. The condition was wrecking havoc on my intestines and kidneys and I was dehydrated. They gave me another 2 antibiotics; one to fix my now UTI because of cipro and one to deal with my wisdom tooth. I got my records after all that and NONE of the UTIs we're positive and no one told me. So I took all that for nothing. As with other name brand drugs. ... It's like a recipe for Chocolate Chip cookies. It made in different ways and ingredients. Different companies still label as the same product but it's different. . Also a generic is close to original but has different ingredients. Also, over years the original formula could change within any company. Can anyone test to see what in the drug prescriptions fromula many companies use then compared to the Cipro original formula?

    I was took off Levaquin because I could not keep it down and put in the hospital from running a 104 temp with a double kidney infection and also infection in my blood stream, started feeling a lil better after the next morning in the hospital, well the Dr. On the floor I was on decided to take me off the IV antibiotics that was working so well and send me home with Cipro!! This was the worst mistake she made because I’ve only taken 3 of the Cipro and I can not move or turn my head in any direction, also a massive headache! This drug is horrible and I hope it’s not to late for this problem to go away. If anyone has experienced this PLEASE HELP, I need advice, Thank You

    I refused this just 2 months ago. My urologist was checking me out for a turp. When I refused the drug the PA argued with me acussing me of thinking I knew more than him. I simply said I have read the paperwork that comes with it and I don't want it. So they gave nothing. I'm recovering OK from the turp but still have an infection. I just had a urine test and plan to take the results to another doctor and try to get an antibiotic that works without destroying my life.

Who is holding companies to be accountabe that each drug formula is correctly made, the right potency, and safe to consume? .

    ITIS NOT JUST THE FLOROQUINONES! I get this awful reaction from Flagyl/metronidazole and from Keflex/cephalexin. It’s as though every last endorphin has been sucked out of my body. I want to die. I had muscle cramps in the middle of the night so bad that I almost went to emergency except that I had muscle relaxers around to help me through it, Flagyl has been on my “allergy” list since my 20s. Keflex is going on the list immediately.

      same here to flagyl and cipro. I used 3 weeks of cipro then 4 tablets of Bactrim 4 days ago , then started to have extreme cold feet symptoms and stopped all medications now, how long Cipro/Bactrim Cold feet effect should last :(. I have read that these Floxies can affect nerves and cause damage! Been one month out and still getting tingling and cold feet :(.

    This strong meds most likely caused a disruption in the microbiome in our gut that control your mood…meaning depression and anxiety…that medication it too strong for the gut and if you don’t know that it interferes with your gut microbiome…it will have these side affects. Anyone that has taken this…go and get your gut microbiome checked…you owe it to yourself. Your gut is 85% of who you are and everything about you is lives in your gut. Please people go and check to see what this drug did your your microbiome and maybe can reverse the symptoms. These meds are too strong for the gut to handle.🙏🏾

    the real problem is we are using old medicines, 1. because they are used against bacteria that have now evolved and are capable to become resistant to all current production antibiotics, and 2. because of the severe side effects all of them cause. It is unthinkable and not tolerable that we use 40 years old medicines in 2023 when it would be possible to develop drugs that cause fewer side effects and less severe ones too by being more effective and safe. There are a lot of alternatives to develop: new antibiotics, phages, vaccines, peptides and enzymes, monoclonal therapy (it is just a matter of scaling it to make it less expensive), quorum sensing inhibitors. None of these solutions are developed because, unlike antidepressants that are taken indefinitely, drugs to cure infections are taken for a week or so and this makes less profit for pharmaceutical industries, and since it costs a lot to develop a new drug it is not economically convenient. If this wasn't enough, any time we are so lucky to get a new antibiotic for hospital use only, doctors limit its usage as much as possible to avoid increasing bacterial drug resistance which further limits demand and profits. It is an economic problem. Maybe I'm pessimistic but I think we will need a lot of deaths by superbugs or side effects to increase the demand for new drugs and make it economically convenient to develop them and produce them, this is how stupid we are as human beings! And please do not take antibiotics for a flu because they do not work against viruses, and please take them for the entire duration of the cure as indicated by your doctor because taking them for less and with no reason further increases resistance and makes them increasingly less effective starting from the evil bacteria in your body and then for everyone else too. I'm so angry and I hate everything about the current antibiotic situation

      They did the same to my husband in 2013, for a swollen prostate. He took the Cipro for 3 weeks and was also catheterized because of the swelling for 7 weeks. Unfortunately, I was the unhappy recipient of reactions to his taking this powerful antibiotic and ended up with a pelvic prolapse 2 months later. I had surgical repair 8 months later, and a month after that our daughter contracted Shingles in her inner ear which resulted in Mastoiditis and was prescribed Cipro. Within 2 months, I suffered a second prolapse. requiring another surgery. Since then, my husband and daughter have shown signs of suffering cognitive problems. As for me, I now suffer from Neuropathy in my legs and feet, arthritis, Fibromyalgia, gum recession and the roots of my teeth are dissolving, along with floaters in my vision which have nothing to do with my eyes, but is something affected in my brain. These Fluoride antibiotics are a menace to anyone taking them or anyone coming in general contact with them.

      Oh gosh. I read a lot about levaquin before starting it snd what the drug warning says is to continue your prescribed dose unless you start to feel side effects and if you feel side effects then to stop it completely. Also consider taking magnesium, then inositol hexanicotinate (known as “no flush niacin”) because those two will help your muscles and mitochondria recover from the antibiotic damage

    • @seansull
      @seansull 3 года назад +2

      The niacin supports mitochondrial function and magnesium is for muscles. For niacin you can take it as inositol hexanicotinate and take 500 to 1000mg daily, anything under 1500mg daily is safe. But that’s what I’ve been taking for a while at least to make sure I stay healthy

    I had a severe allergic reaction to CIPRO in the hospital for an ear infection . My dr there said it was not anything unusual , its just that some people get a reaction she called RedMan Syndrome !!!! omg what a liar . I had to have Benadryl . and then she wanted to give me more of it ! Are these Drs insane or what ? That they cant tell if someone breaking out with burning itching and later hives all over is allergic to the medicine ? So allergic reaction s are now called redman syndrome ?! why is that ? maybe because big pharma makes too much money
