Maybe you can try looking at it under different FA scenarios. For example find the 5-6 weakness or most upgradable groups... For example look at OG, C, DE, DT, RB... Then fill 2-3 different ones in FA in different arrangements then targeting the other positions with picks.

Makes it really fun coming up with a good reason to look for ways to draft more potential blue chippers at lower positional values. For example get the next all pro safety, linebacker, or running back without sacrifice. Plan a year ahead for the next contracts ending in 2026... Or 2027.

Sweat is our #1 Dlineman and ideally he is more of a #2. eventually, in order to win a SB, you'll need a really good oline to beat philly or KC or the Bills who have dominant Olines. Thats why the Bears cant just get Reddick & Trey smith and then draft jeanty and some other top prospect at LB in the 2nd round. (lower positional values) They prob need to use those picks and double up on Dline and oline. Even if you gave the Bears Saquon Barkely & Derwin James, the best players at their low value positions, the Bears arent winning anything. Our lines simply arent good enough. We cant run block or pass block good enough to have an elite offense. We cant stop the run or rush the passer good enough to be an elite defense.
I have a couple questions for you #1 how likely do you think it being possible for poles to sign the all world guard from kc ,#2 could you show what it would potentially look like to use the 6th & 7th rounders for trade up since you said in the past that those picks are usually depth pieces & we're growing further from needing them
#1 Throw enough money (which I'm all in favor of in this case) #2 they won't move you up at all in the first couple rounds but you could package them with a 5th to move up to the 4th or a 3rd to slightly move higher in the 3rd. I like both scenarios though. It's nice to dream of getting a late round flyer or a LB nobody else saw, but using trade value is nice too 🐻⬇️
I really like Kaleb Johnson. If we can trade down to the end of the 2nd and get Kaleb Johnson that would be great. I feel like getting a power RB would benefit the offense so much. If Graham or Carter are gone by our draft spot I would trade down and get more picks in the 2nd and 3rd round range. This will be the golden zone this year.
Ideally you’d draft atleast 1 IOL… lot of money to sign premium guards. Sign trey smith and use a 2nd on a guard. Run it back with Shelton and draft a C in round 3 to develop

I really don't see a trade up scenario happening in the top 5-7. Especially with the needs we have, but maybe if we have an absolute slam dunk of a free agency class? Now is the time to pounce on going all in though while we have the rookie QB contract
What do you think about drafting an OG and center combo from the same school. Texas and Georgia both have upside players in both spots. They would already have chemistry.
If it's the right fit and we're not over drafting, I love when chemistry built in happens like that. Bo Nix and Troy Franklin in Denver had that built in

We can barely get kmet and swift involved in our passing game. there is ZERO chance we can get a 2nd TE involved. Rome & DJ should get 125 targets Kmet & swift should get 75 Thats 400 targets right there. And if we keep keenan or get another #3 WR then that guy needs targets as well.

The nice thing is our core is strong enough without the free agents that we can let them all walk and continue to build. But there's so much good in bringing the right ones back for cohesion.
