A play the tear player missed several times was using your field effect to pop your own kalideoheart after you summon it. Kalideo gets sent to grave to trigger to effect, you can send scream or sulliek to get an extra search.
If thunder had access to modern staples they probably take this more often than not But even then having 5 backrow hate side cards in a tournament with no backrow decks really hurts It's cool that tear showed a different play in g5 and went for toad, although a big apo is an ftk against combo decks

If you give them modern staples, you have to give Tear Ishizu cards. Tear was not the monster it became until they got those. It was tier one but not exceptionally so.
Time to UNLEASH THE BEAST (Sort of). The deck definitely is lacking a lot of gas without the Ishizu cards, but it still absolutely dominated this match. It felt like Tear was always on the front foot, with Thunder Guardragon needing to hope Hafnis misses and Tear doesn't open Super poly, Spheres, or DRNM. If Hafnis had not whiffed this is a 3-1. Hafnis alone is SUCH a powerful card vs a ton of decks. It can totally blank the turn one azzathoth/shock master set ups a deck like PePe used to compete vs the big boys. Next matchup, seems extremely even. Virtual World probably gets my vote thanks to access to all the powerful generic staples that came out since 2018. If VW opens Nibiru, Dark Warrior has literally absolutely no answer for it.
How does havnis block azathot and shock master? Their effects still resolve Also the reasons listed for thunder having an uphill battle have more to do with the cardpool and not with the deck itself
If the list used was Danger Tear deck on Redoer+Zeus instead of Toad+Shark it would have had a line in game one to clear the entire board. Also this build lacking Redoer is going to come up in later matches.
Getting to this one a little late. Credit to Danger! Thunder for actually making this a match. Unfortunately, I knew this was going to be an uphill battle for them though. They just can't compete with the sheer speed and ferocity that Tear are capable of. Going to go immediately watch the next match between Dark Warrior and Virtual World. I'm giving a slight 3-2 edge to Virtual World because of a better side deck, but this could be anyone's match. Both are basically go first, win decks, so it might come down to whoever wins the first cointoss.

I can say this is just normal tear which in the context of pote a generally "fair" deck. See how it win without any power spell or even good opening that if tear alone is this strong imagine ishizu tear in CBC.
This was an interesting match, but I really dislike not including arguably the best deck of all time - Ishizu Tear. It might be stronger than other decks, but something has to be stronger than the other decks.

Not to mention, the engine itself is BUSTED. We don’t need Tear Ishizu. I do recall a time when Lith didn’t featured Kozmos because of how the archetype wasn’t prone to mass destruction and targeting.

The decks here that could beat ishizu tear don't have the right side decks, or even the right generics in the main The deck is one of those decks that requires siding specific cards to be beaten, in the same pool as buster lock decks, floodgate turbo decks, or even kash But unlike all of those it's also one of the strongest decks ever, so a combination of these two things probably wouldn't make for interesting cbc matches

You compared it to decks like Kashtira that require you to draw the out to their lock, but there is no out to Tears lock, because there is neither a tearlaments lock nor a real out to it, so i feel like the comparison doesnt really work.

The boy Clancy rolled his eyes affectedly many times than what was appropriate.
Swallowing, the woman shook her head and spoke, "What are you saying? Why are you angry? Is that attitude necessary right now?"

"Clancy, I will not have this today. I don't know what's gotten into you recently, but you have been like this for far too long and I am sick and tired of it. Go to your room. Now. We will talk about your aggressive behavior when your father is home. I want some peace and quiet right now."
She sighed again and this time it sounded like a stiff gust of wind. Her hung head was turned away from the window and her eyes shone only with weariness. She looked every much her age in this moment.
