i respect that the more upbeat type of music they were putting out at the beginning of their career won’t be your style but also don’t let it define your opinion on bts’ early music, i personally love the pop stuff, i think its really refined and a perfect blend of the rap bts were so used to and a unique approach to pop without making it bubblegum, but to each their own. however, the whole point of artists having singles is to promote the most upbeat/outlying track to grab attraction, in reality, i would define their first couple of albums as MOSTLY if not nearly every track as r&b or jazz inspired. dark and wild, a fan favourite album from 2014, is entirely r&b except for songs like danger which i feel like you guys didn’t enjoy as much. i think to grasp the scope of bts’ music you should react to a couple of the album tracks from those years as well as the title tracks/singles to KNOW know their sound. but ofc continue this journey you’re on, as an english literature student i’ve always appreciated lyrical depth and i can assure you, that alone, will get you guys fully into bts, they are so flexible in their craft i promise
They need to react to bts hardships so they can see how bts paved the way for the new generations. And hopefully try to understand their story and lyrics a little more so they see that they’re MV and lyrics are not meaningless.

I think they don't really like the more faster, louder and maybe more rap focused songs. And there's nothing wrong with that, we all have different tastes. Maybe they should start reacting to the members solo bts songs and their solo songs from solo era to see if they'll like those songs. At the same time react to the group's more chilled songs like Magic Shop, Pied Piper, Dimple, Zero O'clock, Blue and Grey, Airplane Pt2, Bulletproof:Eternal, Your Eyes Tell, Louder Than Bombs etc. There's so many. I know the army guy wants to take them on a bts songs journey, but it's just not working at this point. It seems like they are losing more and more interest with each reaction, especially the guy with the black shades.
