I’m from Tamilnadu. Since my early 20’s, I’ve been harden fan of Laxmikant Pyarelal. For almost 50 years, I can’t separate myself from the songs of ‘Dosti’. Whenever I feel down, I listen to all Mohd Rafi’s songs from that movie. Those song remain evergreen songs till today:

Enjoyed the interview with Pyarelalji a lot. Although it was an hour long, it felt very short. Would have loved to hear more anecdotes about the making of different well-known songs with the legendary singers, as I am a big fan of Rafi Saab and Kishore da.

I was at my opticians clinic, seated on my chair, a short heighted man in white walked out from the clinic and was looking for a place to sit, all the seats were occupied, I shifted a bit to give space for him, he sat down next to me,..another patient walked to him and asked "Aap pyarelalji ho?"...OMG!! I looked at him in wonder, he was Pyarelalji...seated next to me. I quickly apologised of not recognising him, as I had just heard and grew listening to his amazing music. He was very very kind and modest, even his wife was super cool to me. Truly a gem couple they are...god bless him with great health and happiness.
