I can't say how I started watching your vlog, Nami Chan, it may seems crazy but it really changed my life or at least my way to see life. Since I know you, my house is cleaner, there are pretty flowers in every corner and I found again pleasure in cooking (specially vegetables which I hate!). I also started to treat my self better and this is the best part. Because sometimes pandemies, loneliness and depression are the very bad demons and you can't dispel them with beans. It's incredible how a stranger who shares little ordinary moments (of an extraordinary woman!!!) can fix a little bit your mind and your soul. Sincerely thank you from the deepest of my heart! Hello Nami! I’m an American student and I just started college three weeks ago. Your videos have been a source of comfort for me, as I’ve had to leave my family’s home and start living independently. You make living alone seem less scary, and I thank you for that. I’ve also been taking Japanese as my required language credit. Maybe one day I will be able to write a comment in Japanese. I will work toward that goal! 😁

from what I have seen it is harder to get rid of the older things in Japan, you have to get stickers and make precise measurements so it can be taken away and it can take weeks. hope that the people that delivered the new bed took the old one away for Nami.
i think, after watching this, that everybody should go through a period of living in a small space where each action you make reflects on your sense of well being and purpose. starting with cleaning your space, creating from base your meals and in the harmonious atmosphere you create, enjoying the fulfilment of your basic needs.... this sweet balance of self-care, lovingness , simplicity and aesthetic function surely must be the bare essence of life. i love this.

What an interesting concept for a bed, the way it is designed for a easy construction, so clever!! And I also think it is curious the technology behind the mattress, how it is all rolled up (I've never seen that in my country 😅). It looks amazing.

You made two favorite Romanian dishes today 😊, the stuffed cabbage, and the grilled eggplant. We put unboiled rice in the filling, and twice the amount of water, so it can cook in the filling. Also a lot of dill herb. We also use Kimchi like cabbage for the rolls. You have an amazing rolling technique! The grilled eggplants we do here, get roughly chopped and mixed with olive oil and garlic, and eaten with bread and tomatoes. I'm happy for your new bed, have only nice dreems in it!
Here in Greece we also make the stuffed cabbage. But we make a white sauce to top them or just lemon juice. And during fasting for Easter we don't put meat in them only rice.

Ah, that makes sense why the Koala was sent with the bed. I made the mistake of planting a eucalyptus tree in my back garden and 69ft later it's a bit if a worry when it's stormy. A few of those gorgeous littles bears would make the risk more worthwhile.
I love your videos! They are so soothing, and you've made me interested in cooking! I have a helpful tip to get the core out of cabbages, without a knife! If you just bang the bottom of the cabbage on your counter, so you smash in the core, you can just twist and pull it out with your hands. A lot safer. Thank you for being a beautiful soul

Exactly! We also eat this in Ukraine. When she cut the middle of the cabbage I was like :"wow, that looks like she's going to cook our traditional dish, haha".. and after few minutes:" omg, she actually cooks it!"
I am from Canada. When I was in Australia I got to hold a koala. My Mom used to make German cabbage rolls. She had ground beef and rice as the filling. Then she had tomato sauce poured over the cabbage rolls and then she would bake them. I will have to research if Canada can get the koala mattress from Ikea.

A good mattress is so important! I had really severe back pain 2 years ago and had to take medication to numb the pain for weeks on end. My husband had to tie my shoes at one point and still won't let me carry heavy stuff. We renovated our room a bit and bought a new bed and matress that was advocated to be good for your back in the process. One night. Only ONE night on the new matress and my back was 50% better. A week later my back pain was almost completely gone and never returned as severe (i always had a weak back even as a Teenager so i will always have some problems). I hope one year later also your back feels a lot better and that you are w/o pain. I love your vlogs, they are very calming for me and help me relax into sleep or just when i am stressed and want to calm down.
I love that bed!!!! I like how versatile and yet minimalist it is. Also, my Mother would let a cabbage stay in the freezer for a few months. When it's thawed out, the leaves are nice and soft, ready to make cabbage rolls. It just saves that whole step of boiling it. Something to think about :-)

A good mattress is so important! I had really severe back pain 2 years ago and had to take medication to numb the pain for weeks on end. My husband had to tie my shoes at one point and still won't let me carry heavy stuff. We renovated our room a bit and bought a new bed and matress that was advocated to be good for your back in the process.
One night. Only ONE night on the new matress and my back was 50% better. A week later my back pain was almost completely gone and never returned as severe (i always had a weak back even as a Teenager so i will always have some problems).
I hope one year later also your back feels a lot better and that you are
w/o pain. I love your vlogs, they are very calming for me and help me relax into sleep or just when i am stressed and want to calm down.
I love that bed!!!! I like how versatile and yet minimalist it is.
Also, my Mother would let a cabbage stay in the freezer for a few months. When it's thawed out, the leaves are nice and soft, ready to make cabbage rolls. It just saves that whole step of boiling it. Something to think about :-)
