El Cancion del Mariachi

From the soundtrack to the movie "Desperado", a film by Robert Rodriguez, this tune was written and performed by Los Lobos, adding Antonio Banderas for the lead vocal.
This is my attempt to capture the energy of a full band with just one guitar, my foot. and my voice. I could have played finger-style, as I often do, when I played at restaurants and weddings parties, but felt using a pick would bring out a Rock flavor, as I can attack the strings with that certain style. The groove is based off the Mexican Huapango/Zapateado rhythm, but with a less traditional Rock/Pop drive.
