Hello from the USA. I second on hydroponics producing vegetables with the Wastewater from the fish run through a sediment filter and then into the vegetable beds. I also agree on duckweed which has one of the highest proteins for vegetation, I would also look into black soldier fly larvae as a alternate feed. Cool video.
He should start to grow Black Soldier Fly Larva to feed his fish. It can eventually reduce his feeding cost to zero. You can find Black Soldier Fly larva in most established compost piles. I wish you all the Best!
The best way is to start small and to enlarge as you are progressing. The number of ponds in this video shows that he is a great farmer , wise and we'll organized. Amazing.
@@Chideranwaforfilmsplease can you help me with details of your pond construction. I rent an earthen pond on a farm, and the struggles are much; shared water days, others turning your water to their pond, theft, and sabotage. I left the place sept2023. I want to continue with tamp ponds at home but the materials and galvanized pipes are expensive. So please can you help me with info on how your ponds are constructed and what sort of plastic you used and what you used to attach the plastic to the wood and hold up the water weight. Thank you
Very inspiring! Thank you for sharing your honest advice. You could tell he is a good-hearted and sincere mentor who wishes everyone success. Wish you all the best!
fish waste is incredibly nutrient dense, dumping it out is a waste when you can use it to grow plants. Whether it's vegetables or even food for your fish, most things can be grown using it.
No need to clean the water. With the appropriate home made filters and grow media it will filter itself. Probably wouldn't grow enough to make a huge profit, but he could live off them and save money on groceries.
Thank you to the curator of this video & the farmer for sharing valuable insight into fish farming. Watching from South Africa, where opportunities are so few that farming is really becoming a way to generate vital income. Once again, thanks to the farmer, appreciate your knowledge & willingness to share information.
I wonder if he could sell the water too rather than just cleaning the water. The water is rich in nutrients that are good for plants, especially hydroponic farmers' plants.
Hello thanks for growing your crops and fish ponds and farms. Very good, thoughtful and considerate about humans. No one will go hungry if this type of work is done in the Country helping people with food and fish and chicken provisions. Congratulations, well done. 😊

@@Chideranwaforfilms - yes it was a nice video . Would have liked to see more of the examples of "Fish " ( eating ones = food porn ) . But you covered all the things needed and the trials and tribulations of the fish farming venture . It was a very interesting video and fantastic to see such a venture is possible . The prices of food pellets seem a bit worrying though . There must be a lower cost alternative ?
I have seen how you replenish your water, it is beter to raise the source a bit and also fix a shower -like sprinkler to allow for mare airation.most motality in fish is dew to surfocation. Kasozi of uganda

Cool lowcost setup N... guy! Love that. Its much better thn big ponds - you have great control over whole process of feeding/growing. Sadly i live in area with bellow zero temps, so i would have to make some greenhouse for them... Fishhouse?
I love farming. Currently have a cassava and potato farm. Am thinking of trying fishery soon. I did layer farm for about two years... Intend getting some turkeys soon...
