I first heard this song on cassette tape when I was a teenager in the 80's. It sounds so different on vinyl from what I recall on cassette tape. It sounds more...expansive, as if I'm hearing it inside of an auditorium rather than a bathroom.
Thanks Bob! You know, when the main subject of our little movies is just a turntable with a spinning disc, after a while it becomes difficult to be fresh and original. Ah Ah
You're right, Rui - filming a (usually) black disc spinning round isn't the most inspiring subject for a video. I guess people not into vinyl think we're very odd! The videos that Roberto produces however are really works of art; I wish I had the vision and the patience to approach his standard. Back on music - unfortunately I don't have any Kraftwerk on vinyl so it was good to hear this! Oh, talking of Kraftwerk, I know you commented on this one ruclips.net/video/ZEGA41j04YY/видео.html - a simply stunning video! All rather humbling really ;o)
Yeah, some people may call us "very odd", and others with less polite manners may say: "this guys are weirdos!" 😁😁 Roberto has the eye of a true artist, with emphasis on lighting! And TR PD has a great eye for camera angles, detail and composition, even on his first simple videos. The video you mentioned is awesome!
Hey, Mister, this version of "Tour De France" is much more beautiful than those which I've got on my CDs!... Kraftwerk is the very essence of Electronic Pop!...
Aha..lovely sound! Kraftwerk is my favorite. Though MAN MACHINE is the album through which I came to know about them and still Man Machine mesmerizes me. This sounds so fuller with detailed sound and what a spectacularly conceived video.
This is a 2009 reissue based on the 2003 release. The 2003 album was named "Tour de France Soundtrack", and was recorded for the 100th anniversary of the Tour de France, but on the 2009 reissue, the name of the album was shortened for "Tour de France". But the original version of this particular song dates from 1983, and sounds a bit different from this one.
ok... I find two such releases. Yours is which one? www.amazon.in/Tour-France-Digital-Remaster-VINYL/dp/B002LCOQVE or www.amazon.in/Tour-France-Kraftwerk/dp/B00EVSABO2 Thanks.
My version is this one on Discogs: www.discogs.com/Kraftwerk-Tour-De-France/release/6562062 I suspect it's not exactly the same as any of the versions you pointed out
I Remember Buying this from Chesterfield Hudson's Record Store when i was like 12.. I got Home and the leader that led into the Track was cracked and it gave a click before it got into the track, this was Vinyl.. The next week i took it back and the lousy Dickhead that sold it to me denied it was a problem.. What a TWAT.. I knew keith some years later the bloke that owned the store, "Many memories in the place".. And i never complained because he was a friendly guy.. I have since had this track in various formats.. Over the years and still love it. I bought the Album from WoolWorths later and it was tape it played like Shit.. Took it back and the assistant said i can't hear anything wrong.. Then the tight spot tugged on the spool.. She looked at the speaker and said "i can't hear anything wrong".. I said well why did you take a look at the speaker if you didn't hear anything.. She Caught up with a full refund.. Twice i have been had with this Group, with sound quality not by them personally.. Radio Luxembourg, I was listening to it in 1983-84 on a Transistor Radio.. I heard this Track with like samples of Dogs barking.. Woof, Wooof. Woof.. I thought this is amazing.. After it played out the bloke that was talking said,,.. That was Kraftwerk playing #gujgaasalkinn#.. I never caught the name of the track.. And i can Say it was them.. So Pioneering, and i have looked high and low for it in the Discography no mention of it. I know i didn't hear thing's 100% they have a track like that. ..
i just got my first 91ed last month and i just love it , an amazingly open, musical yet detailed cartridge. it's a keeper for sure. it will accept different Shure styli as well
Your Sapphire cantilevered SAS sounds very good. Some years ago I used a laser drilled hollow sapphire cantilever on a B&O cartridge that sounded excellent. Unfortunately it had poor longevity and no stylus replacement. This Shure/neoSAS looks very promising.
Hola Rui....Debo reconocer que este estilo de música suena un poco fría para mí, aunque destaco el gran sonido de esta aguja y tu trabajo con los planos de video. Muy elegante y sobrio como siempre. Saludos.
Hello: The Shure M91ED is back! This is the mother of Trance music DJ tiesto stole this track too ha, ha, ha A usual , Very nice video Once again your hater planted his mark :( Best!
Hell Rui: I'm not into Trance or any relative to overused and overrated pseudo-music.. I think back to 70's and the early of the 80's Computer Futuristic Music, thanks to sci-fi movies, was cool. As experimental sound, Krafwerk was good! Years later, guys named as DJ's are only thieves, They only use this innovation as repetitive loop formula. Really, After hear DJ's, very soon I got so tired of hearing DJ mequetrefe music :( Best!
Florian Schneider (the founder of Kraftwerk) passed away today at the age of 73.
This album is totally underrated
I have to agree
Sublime.
Love Kraftwerk.

Greatest audio!! Keep it up.. your upload is so clean.. mis those vinyl days😢
this is the song angels play as you fly to heaven
Used to breakdance to this jam back in the 80s. Kraftwerk HUGE influence on hip-hop music!
Immaculate Precision
You have my respect. Much more clear than any Kraftwerk CD I have.
Very pleasant tune and sound quality ☺ BTW, Azul y Negro were pioneers in making the title song for a bicycle tour in Spain in 1982 😉

Totally Fantastic!!!!

I love this Rui! The shot from the back of the tonearm is very cool indeed!

Once got an album of La Femme and never regretted it

Really enjoyed the video work.
Thanks man!
En la epoca de loa 80.s yo la bailaba en aquellos años del Breack Dance
You and the old Shure make beautifully sweet music together.
I'm glad you like it!

I bought my Shure 91ed in 1975 and haven't found another cartridge that sound so neutral, not bright or soft just right.

What happened to your Hotel California video??? I confess that vid got me in to vinyl and now its gone :(
It was blocked by RUclips a long time ago due to copyright.

Thanks Roberto!
The Shure is a soft spoken cartridge with a sweet sound.
Suena fantástico, dulce y sin durezas!
Techmaster PEB used a lot of this song.

Hello Raul
I don't normally listen to this kind of music, but i make an exception for Kraftwerk!
And lots of people stole from them! LOL

Hello Francisco, thanks for stopping by. I miss your uploads! 😔
Cómo echamos algunos de menos la música electrónica de los "80" de Azul y Negro :(
