This song has saved me from suicide numerous times. I know that’s heavy/TMI but I feel like anyone watching this is kind and it’s a safe space. I’m still mentally ill, I’m still hanging on by a thread but music helps. Sending love to anyone to reading this…you’re worthy and you’re going to be okay.

This song never fails to make me cry, there is softness and a healing feeling to it, and seeing how many people are affected by it, only confirms that it really is a masterpiece. again, this was beautiful, deeply saddening and eye-opening... there’s always something meaningful that goes into your videos that makes humanity stop for just one moment to figure out where the hell we’ve gone wrong. when did we lose our humanity? how have we become so detached and devoid of emotions for all our forms of life? the worst thing about it is that we’re too far gone. we refuse to take a step back and look at the effects of our selfishness and negligence. instead, it’s easier for us to ignore the problem like it doesn’t exist until it doesn’t anymore...

We never lost our humanity. Honestly according to a lot of theories of people that are way smarter than us, this is a necessary part of development of intelligent life. First comes a fase of pollution before there comes a phase of sustainability. Else we wouldnt have the energy or resources to be a sustainable society. In short, we have never gone wrong. "Killing" animals "below us" is a natural part of life. So you might ask, if we stop "killing" animals and eating or using them and if we only use artificial resources. Are we more natural or less natural? Are we improving the natural cycle of life or are we make it worse. I think we are making it worse. For our natural instincts are territorial and need to kill prey and gather plants for food. The further we go from there the less we are connected to nature. Those are facts not opinions tbh. Its common sense.
That moment when you’re so peaceful, listening to his beautiful voice and watching this emotional video, and you think you’re looking at clouds and you’re just so happy... but then you realize what those clouds really are and you’re left heart broken...

I've listened to this song over and over again last February of 2020, while I stayed for 6 days in the hospital looking after my grandmother who passed away. I was the only closest family staying there, the rest of my family are mostly abroad - the days went by with just my mother staying a distant relative of mine at home, and I going back and to from my University to hospital, and vice versa, asking far off family members to look after while I was not here.
I lost my father 2 years ago, and I really tried to not break down as the sole person and care taker of my grandmother - kept consolidating everyone not here, telling them things are gonna be okay, trying to give them hope, trying to do everything as best as a emotional 20 year old could do and handle everything as bravely as I could.
And yet things weren't getting better. I kept trying to give myself hope from nothing, hoping that things would go back to being normal, cried alone in the hospital. The pain was a "a part of me now", sadness that a person was going away, forever in this lifetime. I just could not "let it go", I tried to make things better and "I had it almost" - I hoped, but it was not true. She passed away on the 7th day, and this song kept repeating in my head.
I had gone through pain, emotional pain, I could not just ignore it. It was a part of my personality now, who I am, and who I was, and what it transformed me into - someone stronger and better who understands that they love and care deeply for the people around them, though I often don't show it to people.
Thank you, Novo Amor. I'll remember the lyrics to this until a lifetime.
This is so wildly relatable on so many levels. I have no idea how this song manages to transform the soul, but it does...I can’t explain it. Thanks for sharing your story. When I listen to this song in deep despair when it feels like the rest of the world is sleeping I somehow feel better. Like somebody out there knows the same darkness...take care and be well.

Warning: this is a lengthy post (or should I say 'short essay') about my analysis of 'Sleepless (Chapter I)' and 'Repeat Until Death (Chapter II)':
TL;DR: Both parts can be watched in either order, and still make sense; the videos may be interpreted as having to deal with more issues other than environmental issues (at least to me), however it is still the main focus; Novo Amor is amazing and utterly brilliant and inspiring.
Novo Amor truly lets his creativity and artistry shine in all of his work, but I am particularly impressed by this two part series. I personally believe that these videos deal with many issues from environmental problems to creative or mental struggles. Each music video tells it's own story:
Chapter I, which may represent a resurrection of one's body or soul, sees a girl as she recovers from an illness. The city in which she lives in at the beginning of the music video not only symbolizes the pollution due to human disruption of the environment, but it also represents a lost spirit and a lack of freedom and creativity. By taking the girl away from the city and into the wild to see a shaman, the man is trying to heal her both physically and spiritually. At the end of this music video, the girl is healed and is re-establishing her connection to nature (or creativity): the very connection that we are all born with, but lose as we grow in this modern age.
Chapter II represents the downfall of the girl's spirit and health as the disruption and pollution from the nearby city continues to expand into the wilderness where the girl and her newfound family take refuge. The girl is living a life full of freedom and happiness. However, this ends as she sees death slowly creep up on her familiar life: it begins with the death of her reindeer (symbolizing nature, something that some humans may never learn to appreciate), whom she establishes a very close bond with. By the end of this video, she is ripped apart from her family, so that she can be taken to the city, and has fallen ill. The man believes that doing so will offer her a better chance at survival, since her nomadic family, and many others, are being pushed further into a corner, which may eventually lead to their downfall.
When watching each music video individually, one can say that they tell a straightforward story however when they are watched one after another, you can see they tell an even larger narrative. What I find brilliant about these two music videos is that they come full circle: you can watch any of the two videos before the other, and they still tell a story that is coherent. The brilliance is revealed in all it's glory when we begin to piece everything together. We become 'Sleepless' because of the stress of everyday life: from the mundane 9-to-5 jobs, and lack of creative expression, to the toxic (physically, mentally and emotionally) environment we continue to 'thrive' in. When we have had enough, we try to escape our lives to recharge by going on retreats (whether it be in nature, or just away from your regular life). Eventually we return to these lives after we feel renewed. Although we may come back to our realities with new outlooks on life, our lives eventually catch up to us and we are again left feeling ill and worn down: the endless cycle 'Repeats Until Death'.
Some people start in a state of happiness and slowly spiral into their lowest of lows, while others start at the bottom and slowly work up to a state of freedom and fulfillment. No matter which walk of life you come from, the truth of the matter is: we are all trapped in this endless cycle. The ultimate tragedy in all of this is the very reason why we are living in this cycle is because a majority of humanity is too ignorant to see just how drastic their actions are. People say they 'see' how bad the state of everything is and they say 'well isn't that unfortunate, we should change things', but little to no action is taken, and still some people take it as a joke. Ali truly is a blessing to humanity with his work, and it is very unfortunate that he doesn't get the recognition he so very deserves. My only hope is that people pay more attention, and I mean truly listen in on his messages, in the future.
I know this post is very long, and is very rough in terms of explanation and connectivity, but hopefully I got my point across. I just wanted to get this out into the world before these thoughts slip my mind.
I apologize for the long read, but I sincerely thank you if you took 5 minutes out of your busy day to read it. Hopefully it sparked something in you other than boredom or sleepiness.

I lost myself in my mind, Im depressed, Im in pain, Im demotivated, I feel weak, sleepless everynight overthinking, Crying without any reasons, Then I found Novo Amor, I listened all to his songs, I cried all the tears, I felt relieved. And whenever It all comes back again, I comeback to Novo Amor's songs and try to find myself,my track,my purpose. His songs lifts up my soul and always give me goosebumps. Im so glad I found him, his songs, his master piece works. I lean hard on music as my crutch , and as an experienced counselor - I say this with full humility: you need to allow yourself to talk to someone. We all try to hide the wound and cover scars - but we aren't fooling anyone. Seek help, and stop self-medicating.
@@gregorystark9989 it’s been a year since I commented that and all I can say is that, Im much better now without needing the help of others, I was 17 that time, so I was having a hard time. As I turned 18 I realized that Im at legal age now, thinking that Im now responsible in every of my actions. Life wasn’t that good for me back then and I battled all those painful nights crying in my dark room, but it worked. I can confidently say It healed me, I learned to be independent. Sharing problems with someone doesn’t always suit in everyone’s shoes. Im not saying to not ask for help if you’re struggling, we do need help from others and we can’t deny that. We can be independent but we can’t live alone by just ourselves. So thank you for that advice that would be a great help.

I remember back in 2019 I was so depressed, Sadness was eating me. This song helps me not to end my life. I still remember the scenario It's still fresh in my memory. I suddenly pause and listen to music for the last time and heard this song and i cried until i feel tired physically. It's suddenly makes me feel okay that time. I watched Chapter II. first and Chapter I. later, and the story is even more beautiul that way. The forest, HER natural habitat is being poisoned by urban people and activities. The dying forest holds no future to her so her father, takes her to the city where she gets sick and looses her roots. Her father then brings her back to her family and to her native community where she heals. Beautiful!

Climate change must be taken more seriously. It affects SO much more than we know.
Just as in this story, the contrast of the forests, nature and then the smoke stack industrial buildings. Humanity should be paramount. Allowing people to live as they choose.
We cannot extinguish the right of any culture, or people to dwell, thrive, where and when they choose. The Nomads have lived in sync, with respect, alongside nature, for many many years.
People (mostly corporations) who think of more materialistic advancement, put profits over people and tear down our forests, destroy natural habitats.
It's very concerning and not right.
We only have one planet, we should nurture, stay aware and fight for the freedoms that come from nature. And, allow nature, Mother Earth to heal, rejuvenate to sustain all of us, all creation.

Back to the video.... the way the girl connects with the moose/reindeer, there is such love. A beautiful exchange taking place between two species.
Then when the moose/reindeer passes on...I sobbed.
It touched me so deeply to see the precious girl bond with this amazing creation.

Hoping for better days without all the death, destruction, pollution. One wants to live in peace. As one, with Nature.
Meanwhile the air we breathe is polluted, the waters getting more contaminated ,the toxic dumping. Destroying forests, wetlands, we need trees in order to breathe. "They" are taking it away from it's peaceful existence

Why can't we all just love one another, be kinder and allow others to live, thrive, where they choose, especially as many have been living off the land for hundreds+ of years. This is their home. Their right. They are peaceful people.
To carry on the culture, customs and pass it down to future generations. We all have this right. And, it's sad that we have to fight for our rights, freedoms.
I often ask myself and others: Have we truly advanced?

We don't need so many more mass buildings, "concrete jungles", pollution, noise, destruction, chaos in our eco- system. Time, is of the essence.
We need our planet, Mother Earth to HEAL. To be nurtured, respected and honored.
Let us strive to keep the hope alive, stand up for our precious Mother Earth.
Stay open, kind and peaceful in your heart. Allow love to lead us.
All of this, is energy. Thoughts are energy. Powerful energy.
It's the positive, LOVE and peace based energy we truly need. It's become a matter of our survival

I feel we have separated ourself from nature, and the home that was meant to be our paradise, I often drive in the city and as magnificent as it may seem, I notice the direction we are heading in, we have destroyed our home, the look on everyone's face in the city scream for relief and I deeper connection, I wish we could all stand in the middle of a field and take in the beauty of this world we call earth, and reconnect with nature, we will find our true self within it.
Watching this while barely holding on laying in Hospital after I attempted suicide. I struggle with borderline personality disorder, Anxiety, depression And type 1 diabetes since I was 5. I try so hard. How this Is going to end, my dear RUclips friends?

Nearly 4 weeks ago I found this song and I couldn’t stop playing it I thought it was beautiful.. I thought to myself if I ever lost someone close to me I wouldn’t know what to do with myself because this song hit me so much. At the end of that week my dad committed suicide and no one knew it was coming it was total out of character and now I’m listening to this song 2 weeks after his death and I’m in shock.

This is going to seem silly to most, but I think of my elderly dog when I listen to this. To me, she is not just a dog. She got me through the deaths of my dad, best friend, 3 grandparents, and a close elderly friend. She is so loyal and nearing the end of her life. My heart breaks when I see her slowly lose the ability to do things. She is my life and nothing can ever replace her. She still gets around great, but can no longer jump onto my bed or my lap. I cradle her every night and she cradles me in her heart.
