The coral reef is probably the most species-rich habitat in the entire Zoo Vienna ( @thezoovienna ) in the garden of Schoenbrunn Castle. Thanks to numerous fish and coral species, visitors get an authentic impression of a dive in the Indo-Pacific. So, it's quite fitting that the tank also represents the most species-rich habitat on earth.
This impression is important in order to really understand what would be lost if the coral reefs were lost. Therefore, the coral reef at Zoo Vienna should also serve as motivation to inspire people to protect this natural habitat. This makes the tank a real embassy for coral reef conservation.

Ja, da tut sich richtig viel und bereits tolle Installationen werden immer weiter optimiert und entwickelt. Wir freuen uns auch schon darauf, wenn wir das nächste Mal vor Ort sind und schauen können, wie es aktuell ausschaut. 😊

Ich persönlich finde es auch immer sehr interessant Korallenriffe zu betrachten leider gibt es aber nicht mehr sehr viele von diesen im Ozean
