    My takeaway from this talk is that the goal is to present a high impedance to outside shield current flow. A proper inductor would do this well over a wide band of frequencies, but this is difficult to implement with many ways to do it wrong, so one alternative is to use frequency dependent solutions. Fine for fixed frequencies. Ferrites can dissipate the shield currents as heat, but do not present an impedance to current flow so the antenna currents are not forced into balance. I would love to hear future discussions about non-conductive booms and proper inductors possibly air-wound on the non-conductive booms behind the reflector. Fantastic talk, thank you!
