What a damn shame the way Sam Newman was treated by channel 9. The Front Bar should hire Sam Newman and do Street Talk every week. Fans loved it and miss it dearly.
Not just him, Brayshaw, Maddern. They let go of all their big names (aside from Hitch) because of either money, or in the case of Sam being too 'controversial'
The thing that made Street Talk was the contrast between Sam's upper class Brighton approach and the zinging sarcasm flying over the heads of people he spoke to. When it's just Fev its just bogan talk. Doesn't work. Think they misunderstood the concept.

A workmate was taking his 2 young sons to Princess Park to watch Carlton train. They ran into Fev in the car park and Fev stopped his phone call and spoke with his sons for a considerable amount of time. Says a lot about him.
