  • Eddie Crane, one of Joe's proteges, has a problem - his fiancée has given him a choice - give up boxing or she'll return his engagement ring.
Joe Palooka is a mild mannered boxer who is in love with Anne and goes about life in a gentle way. This 1954 syndicated TV series was based on a narrative first popular as a comic book, then a radio show. In Two Rings for Eddie, Eddie Crane, one of Joe's proteges, has a problem - his fiancée has given him a choice - give up boxing or she'll return his engagement ring.
Joe Palooka is an American comic strip about a heavyweight boxing champion, created by cartoonist Ham Fisher. The strip debuted on April 19, 1930[1] and was carried at its peak by 900 newspapers. It was cancelled in 1984.
The strip was adapted to a short-lived 15-minute CBS radio series, 12 feature-length films (chiefly from Monogram Pictures), nine Vitaphone film shorts, a 1954 syndicated television series (The Joe Palooka Story), comic books and merchandise, including a 1940s board game, a 1947 New Haven Clock & Watch Company wristwatch, a 1948 metal lunchbox featuring depictions of Joe, Humphrey and Little Max, and a 1946 Wheaties cereal box cut-out mask. In 1980, a mountain in Pennsylvania was named for the character.

Fun episode. Bronson looked like a statue! Lou Nova at the end trying to look like he was a stiff, and making sure not to hurt anyone! Dude was an early vegan and did yoga.

Great show that I heard of but never saw before. Much better boxing scenes than most Hollywood nonsense. Kirkwood boxed and most of the opponents were fighters. Thanks for the uploads!
