I have both Rupay and Visa credit cards, but I think rupay is better as you can use it in UPI to pay merchants.

The government also has to issue a wip to all companies operating in India accepting purchase from Indian customer and delivering services in India to accept Rupay card.
For eg Google Play Store on payment pages says we do not accept UPI or rupay card yet. Now for such scenarios I would want to retain atleast one non rupay card since I know it doesn't have universal acceptability.
more offers coming on mastercard and visa networks. good opportunity for rupay to capture market.

Good video as you also educate people on not going for ATM withdrawals. However, pl enlighten me on how the option to choose visa or rupay will empower me. I mean what difference does it make whether I choose either?

Good move by the RBI to the customers, but by giving options to the customers to choose the better network most of them go for VISA & MasterCard rather than RuPay . If a RuPay Card network user wants to switch to VISA/ MasterCard, are the banks free to charge more on such multinational cards or not.....? If not then it will give some positive results, well RBI play a move just like how they make changes in Indirect Instruments in the monetary policy to maintain the liquidity of inflation and deflation graph.
From 2 to 3 months RBI bowling yorkers to fintec and banks those who are noncompliance to rule or avoiding it...😂😂😂😂
How about fee on the card, what if VISA cards are free but RUPAY card fee kept very high?
What happened if we lost or stolen card then this option can be valid for new card issue?

Unfortunately my HDFC visa variant Credit card renewed 2 months before. I would have asked for Rupay, if this rule had been there at that time.
Mine is due in 2 Months, 😢 I too want to opt for Rupay from HDFC but till then this rule would not have come in force.
You should take one with rupay only later on get rupay with your choice

I applied for Rupay card in offer letter but got visa from SBI.
The issue is that no international merchant is accepting Rupay card for their services.
Government should at least contact these gaints to expend the network usage.

rupay dosent work abroad not even in thailand and uae so if there is international travel so please opt for visa and mastercard only.
Couple of day's back I got lifetime card in mastercard variant , i asked to convert to rupay but support team says it will be chargeable.. can anyone tell me they are lying?

It's good step to promote our Rupay but mostly offers on products in markets,resturants etc. demands Visa and Mastercard to avail offers. Kindly, abolish that specific demands for a certain network by the companies.

I've recently renewed my new card and I asked this question with bank authority to issue me a Rupay car but they denied sorry sir this service is not available but you will get Visa by default.
Please do something for mobile based loan application..... very bad experience.....
