You're great! Also love the clock. I like antiques and trumpets. I tune in sometimes just to hear you play on some of these old horns, I've a few favorites. Glad to hear your advice on playing.

I'll and crank out hard copies and PDF's of these warm ups during the Christmas Holiday.

Steve, thanks for giving some love to the bends. I think they are much maligned. I try to incorporate them in all aspects of practicing, especially after the chops start to tire and I begin pinching too much. They have been very helpful during the comeback. Great stuff. Thanks, again, for sharing.

    Hi Mick,
I was recording the video under the deck at my house facing due South. It's a little cool hang out place where I can see my property with the mountains in the distance.
That slight clicking sound in the background is my water purifier that's stashed underneath the house on the other side of the wall where I'm filming. The cat hangs out because it is cool, in the shade, and he can get away from the dogs quickly if needed
    Cheers
    Steve

I feel your pain Bill............... I had a special dog named Satchmo. He could sing, surf and chase coyotes like nobodys business. I had to put him down Dec 10th of 2008. He now watches over us on the hill outside front porch.

    G'day Steve!
Really enjoying your 'Warmups' series at the moment. It's always good to hear different working professionals continuously solidifying "the basics" throughout their careers and passing their knowledge and experience on.
Just wondering though, where have you been filming your warmup sessions?? Curiosity killed the cat...!!
    Cheers!
    Mick from Melbourne.

In high school, the family German Shepherd would lie at my feet while I practiced. As soon as I put the horn away, he would get up and go to another part of the house. Maybe he was protecting me from the horn and the hard life of a musician. Who knows after we put him down when I was 17, I went into a pretty deep funk with my playing.
