We just bought a Lariat with the 7.3 gasser. When we told the dealer that we knew it had been sitting on the lot over 6 months and we weren't in a hurry to buy but if they made us a deal we thought was fair we would consider it. they found that they could offer a substantial discount after we said that. We drove away with a new truck well under MSRP.
Bad AC systems, class action law suits over the 10R80 trans, 90,000 dollar price tags, 6.7 diesel engines with multiple issues as well as the issues the Godzilla has. Gee I wonder why?
Yes, that 10R80 is a problem. Too many defects and cost $8,000 to replace it if you don't have a warranty plan. Crazy. This reminds me of the Triton engine with the blown spark plug issue. And my dumb but got a 2019 F150. On pin and needle about the transmission going out.
@@tonybarnes7516 you aren’t alone. I bought an XLT sport FX4 in December of 2019. Had it 2 weeks and the crank case ventilation sensor went out. It’s had the cab off twice to replace cam phasers and have the transmission rebuilt at around 84,000 miles. Had to replace the module that controls the infotainment system, the purge valve in the engine compartment, the battery, have the passenger side seatbelt fixed, have the carpet replaced before it was a year old because the AC drain was running back into the cab from the day I bought it. Luckily I got Fords extended service plan when I bought the truck, so it hasn’t cost me thousands, but they charge a 100 dollar deductible every time you take it in for a repair after your initial warranty is up.

My brother, who has a business where he tows a trailer, was at a dealer and saw a Platinum F350 for $100K. He couldn't believe it! It's a truck, not a luxury vehicle. Drop the price to $75K and you will probably see people like him buying them again.
Wish I could afford a Super Duty. It's been my dream truck for a very long time. It was dubious for me, back in 2019, when a fully loaded SRW crew-cab, 4X4 Diesel King-Ranch could be had for right around $80,000. Now? I might as well wish for a brand new Lamborghini.
The #1 reason we can’t afford a F-350 is the same reason I can’t buy a mansion in Beverly Hills or buy an airplane - It’s because we haven’t hit the lottery yet! Damn those numbers!

Prices are too high, it’s like a house payment, every year it goes up. They never go down. Why doesn’t every business in US go back to prices they charged back in 2010!
In 2006 I bought a fully loaded Lariat Crewcab Diesel F350 for $35K, then bought a 2011 Crewcab Lariat Ultimate for $42K. I don't need all the crap they put in these trucks anymore. I would never pay above $60k for these trucks.
TC custom truck, probably with a XL drop step. However, if I bought this truck I would have to get a trailer to drag around, because I would have to sell my house.
Fantastic video! Keep up the great work. It’s really nice to see that you put your heart and soul into each and every video that you post. I seriously regret buying my F350 back in March at my local dealership here in North Carolina as it was damn expensive. Seeing this video makes me regret it even more.
In good old California, even if you are a private citizen and not a company they are classified as Commercial vehicles and you have to pay extra for it. Prices on new trucks is crazy and 50% loss in 2 yrs.
I have a 22 F250 Godzilla Tremor and love it! I would always take a stock build over a TC Custom because I can go anywhere in the country and a Ford dealer will cover a warranty item on the stock build. You bet the price of the truck has gone up! If you subtract the 10k for the diesel engine, that 24 Lariat Tremor is still 10k over what I paid for my 22 full Lariat Tremor!
Ford truck prices was what convinced me to move from truck+camper to a Motorhome. If I have to spend that kind of $, then a Motorhome is a way better value than a truck + camper in any item you may think of....

I'll stick with the older stuff lol. and yes i know a 19 isn't that old.
I bought a new Lariat Ultimate package FX-4 crew cab November 2020. I couldn’t buy the same truck today for anywhere near what I paid 4 years ago. I know what the price difference is because I was looking to trade it In or sell it to a private party. I looked at the prices and changed my mind.
Yes,I know these trucks are expensive but I don't think that's the reason why they're not selling. Is this guy kidding me that is exactly why the trucks aren't selling. an $80,000 truck with a $10,000 down payment for 60 months at 0% is still over $1100 a month payment sounds pretty ridiculous to me.
There are almost no super duty trucks here in my area in the Kansas side of KC. The few that are on the lots are all 2024's and there are maybe 4 or 5 at each dealership with little to no discounts advertised. In fact the two dealerships closest to me have zero dually's. The Ram dealers are loaded up and have huge discounts, but Ford seems to keep the inventory very low so that they can over charge for them. Its a good thing that my 2017 super duty only has 56K miles on it, as with prices as high I will keep it for a long time. Kent

Maybe they should try allowing customers to get specific options without forcing them to buy hugely expensive package upgrades. Example: Try adding nothing but the B&O stereo to an XLT Super Duty. It's a $9,000 upgrade. Don't believe me? Go check it yourself.
#1 reason is price, I work for ford, and I see f150s come off the line all day, the amount of repair and quality issues these trucks have to go through AFTER they come off the line but before they leave the property. They are not worth the price they are asking. I bought my 14 raptor new, now you can barely get a bare bones regular cab super duty for what I gave in 2014
Tremor all day long. I bet the lifted truck doesn’t have a front limited slip differential or the 33” water vent tubes for the diffs and transmission. The FX4 is a beautiful truck but it would look much better if the tires didn’t come out past the fenders, that makes it look like a giant roller skate! Keep building great looking trucks!
Yeah man. They’re pilling up here in north Florida too. Just in the last three weeks we have been getting truck after truck load of vehicles and they’re going nowhere……………….
My big thing is with personal property taxes my bill is crazy and that plus insurance makes it unaffordable. Still so.e dealers charging a premium which is backfiring.
Wife and I wanted to buy a new F250 back in 2019. So we started making payments to our selves, but never bought that new truck. Now, 5 years later we have 80K in cash for the new baby. Just plan ahead and wait a while and you can avoid ANY loans. Unless of course FORD offers 0%, then we are happy to use FORD's money.
Buy a new Ford and visit it while it is resting in the dealer's lot waiting on back ordered parts that should not of failed. Buy a fully restored old one and enjoy it.
I bought my last new truck in 2012. Then it was a 2011 on the lot. Superduty 6.2 gas 4 door cab FX4 off road for $42,000. Paid off and still running good. A new truck would be great. But absolutely not for $100k! I will drive that 2011 until the wheels fall off. Then I will ride a horse before I ever pay that kind of price on a new truck. There is a ceiling and I have hit mine long ago.
The Tremor has the H.O. Diesel. I would rather have that with 38 inch tires. Small lift on the Tremor gets you room for those. Plus I like the shorter air dam look.
Prices went WAY too HIGH, interest RATES went WAY too HIGH, Quality went down, durability went down, idle oil pressure went WAY DOWN, batteries went down, lifter & cam fell apart and spread metal thru the gas engine, dealers fixing all the problems went way down, people are broke, but other than that I can't think of a reason why all the brands have filled up lots.
Not just Fords. MOST automakers and brands are struggling to sell. It is, as if they've collectively decided to make it impossible to own a new vehicle. Bring back the horses.
I have a really nice 2008 F150 with a 4.6 2 valve, to hell and back reliability. I would be farther ahead to buy a 7.3 crate motor and a 10r140 and update my powetrain. Best part, no telematics module.
lol, I ain’t a fan of Biden but this was due to Covid. Car companies cranked the prices during Covid and now are experiencing the surprised Pikachu face because people aren’t buying them.
There are only a fraction of guys in the U.S. who can afford a $1,800 vehicle payment, and those guys already have their new Super Duty trucks. Pretty simple.
If Ford and the other heavy duty truck manufacturers are pricing at $100k for their products, forcing people to push out to 72-84 month loans then they should have warranties equal in length to that. If other manufacturers can offer 10 year 100k warranties then the big 3 should lead by example and follow suit instead of offering 3 or 5 years as they do now. How much is Ford adding into the cost of new trucks to cover the amount of recall work they are having to do? They may be class leading in engine hp and tow ratings but they are also number 1 in recalls right now. For $100k you can choose from a vast selection of vehicles including luxury brands, you won’t be buying a heavy duty truck but you will get something with better build quality and a longer warranty. As a town and country customer I can say that they are one of the best dealership experiences you can have with fair open and honest pricing, without dealer markups, but right now the product itself is letting them down purely on a value for the money basis. If $80-100k is to be the ‘new norm’ for truck prices then they need to be built to last as long as it takes to pay for them. Folks would far rather have a set price they pay each month for the vehicle knowing there won’t be any extra costs if the def sensors, transmission, air con or any of the new electronics in there now go haywire. Including the first few years of oil changes would be a step in the right direction as well to give them a truly worry free ownership experience.
Hope Mitchell reads this thread. He will have his answer, and it’s not the election or interest rates. But I still like him, even if he says he is 6’3’’.
LOL................. I never thought I'd see the day that I would NEVER consider a new vehicle just because of the price. NOW, just add that interest % to the loan
Owned three Lariat F150s over for span of 10 years - 2009 Triton 5.4 and 2013 & 2016 aluminum 3.5 eco boost. Engineering in the recent ones was completely overshadowed by the electronics. Went from truck with tech to tech with truck. A 100k vehicle that after 50k risks electrical issues? When it became about trading it in upon the warranty expiring it became clear the F250 would be the go to given the foundation in utility. Now here we are. Bloated luxury options and lagging in modern engineering.
The 3/4 and 1 ton market is just taking advantage of people at this point. I'll just keep driving my 97 f250hd 7.3 powerstroke forever. I'd love a new truck it's just not worth $50-60k base price for the truck I would want. I can completely restore my truck and replace the engine with a brand new OEM long block for half that price or less.
Ironically, most of the qualified buyers will not use those expensive truck for duty or off road, just for mall, in n out burger, and dropping off kids to school 😂
On top of price, dealers don't want to fix defective parts and I don't want to have to wait TWO freaking months for a loaner to get work done when it's taking 3 days just to even asses it. Ford needs a wake up call.
The price is stoopid! I bought my F250 4x4 in 2024 for 30k so price has tripled in 20 years? My salary has not tripled in 20 years. The gap just get wider and the tax burden on the middle class just increases.

The fact is, Ford has substantially increased pricing and decreased their offerings. It just feels like you are very much cherry picking even more than you use to.
I hope you take this a constructive criticism and not me just being a keyboard warrior. Have a good one.

He's trying to save his job. Don't look too good
We just bought a Lariat with the 7.3 gasser. When we told the dealer that we knew it had been sitting on the lot over 6 months and we weren't in a hurry to buy but if they made us a deal we thought was fair we would consider it. they found that they could offer a substantial discount after we said that. We drove away with a new truck well under MSRP.
if you were "on the cusp" of buying one of these trucks, but no longer can, you probably shouldn't have anyway.
Yeah especially if it was the carton of eggs that pushed you over the edge.
It’s got 90,000 on it now and I’ve had to have the tailgate handle assembly replaced, it just broke one day.
@@jimmyhorton8297 my warranty stop at 100k. I was quoted 5K for extension thinking about getting it now after hearing it could take almost 8k for a replacement now. Because of the issue with 10R80.
@@tonybarnes7516 what? 5k for a warranty? That’s nuts. I paid 1400 for mine when I got the truck.
I contacted a dealer for their best out the door price on an F350 and they wouldn't even respond. They can keep their overpriced junk.
Is removing leather part of their goal to bet net zero carbon neutral by 2030? These corps / government is freaking nuts
They should give you leather for free since it requires killing a cow, and cows supposedly fart too much and hurt the planet😆
@@matthewm3912 actual genius take, I love this 🤣
They are hoping that saved cows will buy these vehicles.
Leather was removed on the Lariat...the higher trims still offer it.
My brother, who has a business where he tows a trailer, was at a dealer and saw a Platinum F350 for $100K. He couldn't believe it! It's a truck, not a luxury vehicle. Drop the price to $75K and you will probably see people like him buying them again.
A 'Platinum' IS built as a luxury truck, that's the point of the trim and that's how it's marketed.
@@Mr_Smarty_Pants Understood, but it's still a truck. Prices are way out of proportion.
@@GreatDataVideos
You're missing the point completely....the lower trims are still available if you don't want the luxury.
It's the DAMN prices $100k 😂 recalls and quality and Death Wobble 😢
FORD is like KAMALA, not listening to constuents 😂
Wish I could afford a Super Duty. It's been my dream truck for a very long time. It was dubious for me, back in 2019, when a fully loaded SRW crew-cab, 4X4 Diesel King-Ranch could be had for right around $80,000. Now? I might as well wish for a brand new Lamborghini.
Lol... I love his reasoning to try to justify the fact that people are saying no to the MSRP and the fact that the quality is complete crap today!
Without watching, I can tell you these trucks are too doggone expensive!
The #1 reason we can’t afford a F-350 is the same reason I can’t buy a mansion in Beverly Hills or buy an airplane - It’s because we haven’t hit the lottery yet! Damn those numbers!
i didnt win the lottery and i bought a new 24 f350 platy in cash.

Piling up because of the INSANE prices.
Here I was thinking it was from lot of people getting lemons and Ford not fixing any of them for customers ? With a/c going out and electric issues
Prices are too high, it’s like a house payment, every year it goes up. They never go down. Why doesn’t every business in US go back to prices they charged back in 2010!
Because the Biden administration severely devalued the dollar. It takes more of today's dollars to equal 2010 dollars.
what you mean with Invoice Pricing? MSRP or actually the price you paid for the Truck ?
$85,000 is obscene and absolutely infuriating. No truck should be over $60,000 and that would be completely bricked out.
They’re building them for the company owners, not the company workers. The price of vehicles has gotten beyond stupid in a matter of 4 years.
That avalanche tremor is absolutely stunning on those wheels and tires. I’m kind of sick of seeing Super duty’s with 24s or 26s and rubber bands
In good old California, even if you are a private citizen and not a company they are classified as Commercial vehicles and you have to pay extra for it. Prices on new trucks is crazy and 50% loss in 2 yrs.
In 2015 I bought a f250 king ranch with everything for 58k. Today it would be 100k. Not a chance I would pay that much today
You can get RAM Tradesman and Nissan trucks very reasonably priced now.
Own a '24 F-450 along with an Eagle Cap slide in camper and a toy hauler.
All three are less expensive than the cheapest class C motor home, and the truck can be used for other tasks...

Nissan isn't even in this conversation....and the Ford XL trim is still available if your budget can't afford higher...
@@johnpeters9793 See, when you tell a lie this cheap you are implying you think we are utterly stu pid.
The cheapest brand new class C on a 1000 miles radius from my house is being offered at $68K.
I don't think you can buy a brand new crewcab F450 with bed for that money , not even getting into toyhaulers....
@@johnpeters9793 You should take an actual look at sales figures for a change. Nissan is doing very well. I can afford what I want, because I don't piss my money away to thieves.
PRICE!? Not surprised at all. Vehicle depreciate; they should not cost as much as a modest home. It was predicted before covid that the car market would be the next bubble. The automakers doubled down and raised prices and inventory - good luck.
$90K and they aren't coming with real leather anymore?
That is a joke.
The leather is fake but it is more comfortable and less maintenance. It’s a work truck. It doesn’t make sense at first, but now I see the reason for it. Trust me I was mad too.
1. The "leather" in the Lariat is not real leather. 2. The Active X is actually better in almost every way.
@@ryansheard8092 ummm yeah the current 2024 is actually leather... I own one and if you put your nose to it you would know!

Hmm was just on this dealers web site, they say they are not marking up vehicles yet they have a raptor r for sale 20k over msrp price!!!
Scary to see some dealerships with loads of vehicles sitting out in gravel and grass fields waiting for buyers. I wouldn’t park my 2020 super duty in such conditions unless it was at work and there was no choice
I bought mine in early '20, before prices went stupid. I have no reason to "upgrade", especially since mine will be paid off in a few months.
I was on the fence for buying a 2024 Super Duty but my 2015 has all the same options as the new ones and it's paid for. I do need a write off for 2025, what to do, IRS part 179................
I'll just keep my 2000 F-250 7.3 . I'm not dumb enough to pay near a 100k for a pickup that's life expectancy is 5-10 years. That's just stupid!
18 months ago i picked up a low miles 2019. i have no plans to get anything newer any time soon. too many nannies, trackers, software gremlins i'm having in my 22 bronco that there's no way i want that in my "work truck" per say.
Kent
Put the price back to $75k on the 94k truck. Still expensive but it means we can pick up our XLT’s for $50.
Exactly, my 23 350 crew cab long bed, 7.3 gas $63,000.00
Election and interest are secondary i think new HD trucks are just too expensive now for most people
I paid off my f250 2018 lariat tubo diesel fx4 6.7 crew cab, all factory led lights and installed 6inch lift on toyo tires open country mt 37's x17wheels ,❤ just turn 44,000 miles 😂 she married a saltwater boat she tows ❤❤ 🤠👍
Maybe they should try allowing customers to get specific options without forcing them to buy hugely expensive package upgrades. Example: Try adding nothing but the B&O stereo to an XLT Super Duty. It's a $9,000 upgrade. Don't believe me? Go check it yourself.
The main reason is the jacked up MSRPs from FORD. Thats on all FORDs
Prices going up at a huge rate, and Social Security is only giving people a 2.5% cost of living adjustment.
And they will take it back for raise medicare insurance!
If I had a 6.7, I’d get the Carli Domintor system!
Otherwise, love my 2022 7.3 Tremor with a Carli E-Venture system!
#1 reason is price, I work for ford, and I see f150s come off the line all day, the amount of repair and quality issues these trucks have to go through AFTER they come off the line but before they leave the property. They are not worth the price they are asking. I bought my 14 raptor new, now you can barely get a bare bones regular cab super duty for what I gave in 2014
I would want the rubber flooring after my xl truck and black diamond bronco definitely the way to go!!
We have the same problem at Woody Anderson Ford of Huntsville. We so many trucks and broncos being unloaded every day that we’re full up.
It’s simple: PRICE. Combined with current interest rates that are likely to rise, the truck market is a joke.
Cool what’s the paint code on the TCcustoms truck ? I would definitely take the TCcustoms truck👍
Yeah, keep on piling up.
Where are they? What dealer? Not here in Colorado.
Looking to lease 2023 or 2024 Lightning Lariat ER. Got something? :)
I was gonna make a comment, but it seems like everybody else has a pretty well covered.
Insane the price of. Every part on these nearly class 1 size behomiths. Early 90s size trucks, normal size.
Thank bidenomics
lol, I ain’t a fan of Biden but this was due to Covid. Car companies cranked the prices during Covid and now are experiencing the surprised Pikachu face because people aren’t buying them.
I wouldn't have either one because they both cost too much
There are only a fraction of guys in the U.S. who can afford a $1,800 vehicle payment, and those guys already have their new Super Duty trucks.
I just about dropped a duty when I saw the prices. Lol
I would want the f350. Tremor is nice for wife. I own a farm and roofing company. The extra pull capacity is for me.
I would want the ruber mats they are just as sound deadening and hold up better when getting dirty
Most cover up there carpet with rubber mats anyway
Is $20k off MSRP for a Lariat realistic right now?
$100,000 for a Lariat trim is INSANE. It's not even a high end luxury trim. Nothing screams affordable like a low end luxury trim for $100k.
Prices Period.
