I have been calling them SIRENS for years! I was so glad to hear you call them that. Just imagine how I felt when Halle was chosen to be a Ariel, the little mermaid. Both she and Chloe can lure any poor sailor to his death with their magnificent voices.

I’m not a singer but I’m a instrumentalist and I love the vocal science behind singing. So my question 4 you is the soft palette the “thing” behind having vocal color in music. I’m curious how is some singers can have so much vocal color like voctave, Chloe x Halle and some don’t they sound so bland besides dynamics is it control of the soft palette?
There are a lot of things that contribute to tone. Breath, vowels, soft palate, posture, jaw tension, and a lot more.
Some folks are just born with a somewhat unpleasant tone, but for the most part it's usually a technique problem.
