We show how to make an ionic liquid from simple components and construct rechargeable aluminum-ion battery. Future artificial muscles could be working with ionic liquids. We make ionic liquid supercapacitor using carbon powder as electrode material. Electrodes are roll-pressed.
Synthesis of aluminum chloride - urea and EMIm+ AlCl4- ionic liquids.
Other ionic liquids: EMImBF4, EMImTFSI, EMImOtf.
There is one mistake - ionic liquids are non-flammable (word inflammable is used in the video).

@@zaneaussie I noted that wikipedia lists that AlCl3 decomposes into the anhydrous form at 100 C, and wikipedia also lists that Urea only starts breaking down above 133 C, so maybe setting a hot plate to hold precisely at 105 C will allow you to drive off the moisture non-destructively? Not too certain though since some literature on Urea+AlCl3 seems to suggest Urea can produce decomposition products even if not reaching 130 C.

Aluminum is much cheaper, more abundant, recyclable, and this battery is not prone to exploding like lithium.
