Just picked up a Morrisons Cafe cakes and sandwiches bag this afternoon for the first time. It was a disappointment. All I got was a sandwich, a couple of croissants and a couple of square things that I think are scones. My previous two bags, from Costa and Greggs, were far better.
Hi Graham. Thanks for sharing your experience. I haven’t had a TGTG bag/box for quite some time. Sadly, the quality and value seems to have declined quite sharply!
@@ScottishFoodieLassie I was very pleased with my previous bag, from Greggs. I got 2 doughnuts (jam and caramel custard), a pack of 4 sausage rolls, Mexican chicken flatbread, a smoky Cajun rice with bbq chicken and sweetcorn fritters, and a pot of melon and grape.
@@ScottishFoodieLassie I did thanks. I put most of the sausage rolls in the freezer to have later, as I live alone. The problem with Greggs is that it only shows up in the app now and again, even though we have three of them.....
@@Bungle2010 good idea! We found that Greggs sold out the minute it went live, in addition to a few other popular places they do tend to give you quite a lot of produce in one bag. Best of luck for the next one!
Hi Sal, thanks for your comment 😊 we agree, the cakes and sandwiches were delicious and the rating was higher than the normal grocery bags. Will definitely be back for more 😊
Whats been your worst magic bag experience? I went to pick up a cold food bag from Morrisons cafe today, and the manager was really huffy with me! Telling me I had to return later. I did point out I was in between the times the app stated 🤣 not sure if my bag was a little less full because of this 🤭
Hi Emily! Thanks for your comment 😊 I have had a few disappointing to downright terrible experiences. I am going to be doing a video soon, including when Too Good To Go, goes wrong! I think overall, we have had very good success and quality, but a very recent bad experience has led me to want to make this new video, so keep your eyes peeled for it coming up soon! I’m sorry to hear that you had a negative experience at a Morrisons Cafe, that sounds really frustrating. We have had similar incidents where we have felt that staff opinion or bias have been involved in what we managed to get as part of our Too Good To Go bag, one in particular was from Muffin Break, feel free to take a look. Thanks for your support by watching the video.
@@ScottishFoodieLassie Oh no!! This sounds like it's going to be a lot worse than my experience. Looking forward to watching the video when it's up. I love seeing your haul's from Too Good To Go...keep the videos coming :)
@@emilyjones5610 thanks for your reply. The most recent bad experience was last night. My food was beginning to be packed into a box (hot food), as the customer assistant was doing this, she asked me for my TGTG code. At that point, my order came up as being cancelled on the app, and she then told me that she had just cancelled them, and that I couldn’t have the food that she had just boxed up in front of me! She then…BINNED IT! We had to leave empty handed, however, another customer was happily being given their TGTG bag as I had to walk away. In addition, the person who got their TGTG bag, seemed very familiar with the staff, it seemed that they knew each other by body language and conversation - this person didn’t get asked to provide their code from the app. My concern was that my bag was cancelled, to give their ‘friend’ the waste food! I have complained to the store and TGTG.
I collected a grocery bag and a cake and sandwich bag from our local Morrisons today we complained about the grocery bag as we got given a soggy bag of oranges and got given food which was still in date which the whole point of the app is to prevent food waste. In the cold bag we got one sandwich, one salad and 4 cakes. I am a chef and hate food waste xx
Oh no! I agree it’s good to whip up a meal with food destined for the bin and save that waste. Our sandwiches and cake bag was good, although we do have three Morrisons within a ~10 mile radius and we did cherry pick the one with the best TGTG review score to try and ensure we got the best possible. It is always a gamble though I guess! Thanks for watching.
@@ScottishFoodieLassie I agree it is good to make a meal so the food doesn't go to waste. Our local is literally 2 minutes away from where we live. I would rather save food than it be chucked in the bin . Its no problem I also subscribed to your channel xx

Very good bag! There isn't a Morrisons near me, but I noticed in the wider area their Café bags have higher ratings than their grocery bags.
