2010年11月22日、佐渡金銀山は、「金を中心とする佐渡鉱山の遺産群」としてユネスコの世界遺産暫定リストに記載されました。 佐渡は古来から「金の島」と呼ばれてきました。 12世紀頃には砂金が採れる島として知られていたようです。 78トンの金と2,330トンの銀を産出しました。
On November 22, 2010, Sado Gold and Silver Mine was listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List as "a heritage group of Sado mines centered on gold". Sado has been called "Kin no Shima" since ancient times. It seems that it was known as an island where gold dust can be collected around the 12th century. It produced 78 tons of gold and 2,330 tons of silver.
