Just a tip: use your pistol for mid range engagements, it’s pretty powerful. Try to look for the BR and Bandit rifle pickups as well. Great gameplay, you should post more!
@@thepeabear Well the AR is OP in infinite and I think he makes a good showcase of not needing the BR/Commando/Pistol for mid-range. AR just melts people.

@@thonking7193 of the bandit and sidekick can only outgun a close range gun if the user is skilled whilst the AR user doesn't have to be is enough to argue that the gun is overturned, thusly OP. Same goes for the BR and Commando. If the AR can beat them without much effort, whilst they need effort, then it's a superior gun for it's performance outdoes them at least effort. Thusly it's OP.
@@ZeonZz-Swe the br and commando beat the ar from range not from effort, and the bandit and sidekick both have something the ar lacks, consistency they dont have anywhere near as much bloom (none at all in the case of the bandit) and have a guaranteed one hit headshot kill and both are also effective at much longer ranges, while also having a faster optimal time to kill the ar accomodates players that are new or have less than ideal aim, i wouldn't call it op is it a noob stomper? sure, but if you try using it at all times in ranked and you're gonna lose much more often than not therefore, not op
I just tried halo infinite yesterday and I love it. Can’t wait to give the multiplayer a go. Halo 2 and 3 was what got me into multiplayer games back in the day. So nice to see a RUclipsr covering Halo!

It's amazing to hear you and Danny learning the mechanics to Halo. Feels like I can't remember a time when I didn't know how to play Halo so this is sweet to watch. God this game is crispy and still has potential.
Mechanics tip, if you have the grapple, you an grapple the flag to you instead of running back to grab it. If you flag juggle you can grapple boost yourself into a sprint slide and grab the flag and toss it really far to get even more distance than a normal flag juggle. It's extremely useful and feels awesome when you pull it off
Halo has been very important to me since I was young and its good to see improvements after its roughest launch. Came back a few days ago and I still have my gripes but I hope they continue to fix/change issues because Halo is far from being done and its gameplay feels so good. One thing that keeps me feeling less enthused is when I see enemies across the map with the player outlines and scope glint (and vice versa) as it feels less rewarding when im just given their positions via glowing sun in the distance (or like in older games a triangle above their heads).
Thats just a new player thing. From what I can tell most new halo players almost always stick to AR and sidekick: and don’t notice the guns all around the map
As a life-long Halo fan it’s great to see you playing the game, and doing so quite beautifully. Edit: ending the video with the iconic music was icing on the cake! Edit 2: I’m sure plenty of other comments have left gameplay suggestions on how to play Halo but one thing I wanted to point out was that there are many wall-mounted weapons that outclass the starting weapons. The BR is great for longer distance engagements than the AR and Sidekick. You can also use plasma weapons to quickly strip shields, and then switch to a “headshot” weapon (BR, Sidekick, Commando, etc.)
loving this content! love the arena aspect of halo of everyone being on the same footing. by the way the equipment like the grapple is picked up and can be swapped. If you pick up camo or overshield you activate like a grapple and it gets consumed
As someone who had played halo since the 2001 this was both amazing and frustrating to watch (in the best way possible). Seeing someone play this from a cod perspective where pistols are secondary, for instance is really weird. Every gun in this game has its purpose and once you figure it out the weapon sandbox is amazing! Hope you keep playing buddy.

As someone who’s been playing the past 20 years it’s awesome to see your heavy cod style in this, blast to watch! I recommend everyone give infinite another shot it’s one of the best FPS out right now
Also if you let off the trigger for a split second while shooting the ar it quickly resets the bloom affect which makes you much more accurate, really helps you win 1v1s in social when you’re also fighting someone with an ar
the halo games have some pretty significant quirks that make it really different from other shooters and it doesn't really explain it for you. headshots against shield don't do any extra damage (except for sniper), but after you break shield precision weapons are a 1 shot headshot (all semi-autos except plasma pistol + the BR and Bulldog are precision). nades and melee are both super important for breaking shields so you can get that 1 shot headshot too
Another tip: you should check your radar more often, it's like having UAV on during all the match and definitely try and get more familiar with the sandbox, almost every weapon can be useful if you understand its advantages ("almost" the ravager sucks). A good game mode for this is fiesta.
I love it when people that have never played halo try playing halo infinite now since it has gotten better over the years and it is a good place to start mainly because it is free
Just a tip, power weapons have waypoints, but there are other weapons scattered across the map. Some of them are definitely worth picking up when you get the chance.
It’s so fascinating to me when handler plays other games. His gameplay always feels the the same, like his skill is very consistent. He’s the kind of guy I’d love to watch play a game like Ultrakill with more unique movement. Or Uno Edit: can we get the halo campaign?

This was awesome man and a tip for the grapple you can pick up weapons and other equipment with it,you can even grapple onto people to get a easy kill if you have sword,also punching people on the back is a one hit. Hope to see more halo vids on the channle keep up the good work!
Since we seem to be sharing Halo tips in the comments, here's my main one: when using the AR, pause briefly around half/two-thirds of the way through the mag, or around when you're breaking their shield. It'll only take a moment for the accuracy to reset, which will help you secure the one-shot to the head as soon as their shields die. At long range you'll wanna use a few pauses per mag, whenever you notice you're not getting many hits.
When both halo players played cod & cod players played halo for the first time, this feels like the exchange of these two man-made digital games that literally depends of their skills & accuracy
Leeettttssss goooooo!!! Damn this makes me so happy to see this game get the love it deserves. They’ve done a lot to polish the game since the change in leadership and it’s just so much fun. PS the sidekick is one of the top guns in the game and super insane once mastered😘
If you end up playing Halo more, things to know. 1. Pistol does more dmg than AR, especially at range 2. Headshot dmg doesn't change anything until shield is broken, then it's a 1 shot to the head with the pistol with broken shields. 3. Sprinting with the flag reveals your location 4. ADS doesn't affect accuracy 5. Grenades only explode after hitting a surface so you can throw it at the ground close range if you're low on ammo.
After firing most of the previous management, 343i are pulling hard and doing a great job updating the game recently. The base gameplay was tight and highly praised at launch, but was let down by not enough content or updates. But since Infinite's forge mode is so advanced it can make maps that look dev-made, and complex gamemodes (someone literally made a full working Cod Black Ops zombies map and mode), Infinite's finally showing its potential. Stopped playing Infinite for a solid year, but now I've jumped back on since this year, even bought a battle pass or two.
Don't know if you tried using it but the Battle Rifle would probably be up your alley. It's burst shot but decent accuracy, better if you ads. Only drawback is when you get hit it knocks you out of ads. Anyways love the Halo content from ya.
I’m sure you’ve gotten plenty of helpful comments, but also fyi, there are weapons around the map to pick up that are usually better than the spawning AR/Magnum combo. Also your “Q” isn’t just grapple, it’s an “armor ability” multiple kinds of which are spread around the map (you’ve probably figured this out by now). Seeing you play Halo is super cool, and I hope to see more 😁😁
Another tip: Pistol is a 1 shot to an opponent with no shields. Consider breaking shields with any AR or even a body shot from a sniper, then pull out the pistol and headshot! Its the classic go to. Love the video man i appreciate you always trying different games and making every single one of them so enjoyable you personally crave the experience.
As someone who started playing a halo in 2001 when I was 8yo it's very fun and amusing to watch as you guys discover game mechanics that feel so fundamental to me, like carrying two "primaries" and getting grenades off of enemies. Even the mention of cooking grenades yeah Halo has never had that and doubt it will requiring consistent grenade timing+angle strats are more fun IMO. Love the vid and I am excited for Halo to be coming back into glory days
First time watching your content and just want to say that for the assault rifle, bloom goes down fairly quickly in this game. So for medium range engagements with it, I would fire it in long-ish bursts then I'd let go of firing and immediately start firing again to keep its bloom down. Also the assault rifle does a little bit of extra damage when you aim for the head compared to past Halos where I didn't notice extra damage from headshots. Very enjoyable video and it's a welcome sight seeing someone playing Halo for their first time :D
as a longtime halo player, it's wild that i can see the influence and habits COD has on your gameplay, it looks very different from someone who mainly plays halo. the duck and weave sprinting, how you swing wide while scoped in with snipers, even that whole sword spree gave me mw2 tac knife vibes. it's really a testament to how halo has evolved its combat loop to enable both sorts of gameplay.
As a long time Halo fan I love seeing more people get into it! Couple things that I heard you guys curious about: - ADS is purely a visual zoom, no added assist. It's great for precision weapons w/o a scope at a range, (Sidekick or Mangler pistols) - Slides can be initiated in the air by crouching which is particularly useful on any sort of decline or slope which will give you a decent boost depending on the timing and angle - Dropped nades can be blown up by other nades or precision weapons, probably why one of you saw one explode on the ground - And finally, plasma does increased damage to shields, kinetic to health Hope that clarified some things! There's a lot to learn in Halo's gameplay, especially it's sandbox. Experimentation is always encouraged
Cool tip, energy weapons are good for stripping shields, and guns are good for doing damage to nonshielded enemies, also halo combat is all about guns, melees, and grenades all being used in conjunction
Dude this was such a fun video. You should keep playing. Theres a lot of tricks to learn in Halo, different combos of weapons and equipment. Theres Mobility tricks to help you pretty much fly across the maps when you get real good lol.
GGs and welcome to the Halo community. ps you can grapple the flag to you from a far or cover. with prentice, you can grapple yourself to the flag ,hold, and superslide with the flag. that's what makes this game so special. you can use the sandbox in more than one way. your imagination is the limit.
Awesome video!! It's so rare to find new people playing Halo on YT/Twitch these days and I'm now subbed! Sorry for the info dump, but maybe you'll find some of this helpful: - The radar at the bottom left is very useful to sneak up on enemies (If you stand still or crouch-walk, you won't show up on enemy radar). - You have 2 primary weapons which can be swapped for anything. - Equipment (Q) are always worth picking up and playing around (Energy Sword + Grappling hook is a great combo for zooming towards enemies). - Pistol has one of the fastest TTKs in the game, but requires you hitting 12 shots in a row. - While the enemy shields are up, it doesn't matter if you hit a bodyshot or a headshot since the shields share the damage. So aim for the chest until the shields are broken, then aim for the head to finish. - The Battle Rifle is a 4 shot if you hit 3 to the body and 1 to the head. - Whenever power weapons spawn, it's worth picking them up even if you aren't going to use them (Just so the enemies don't have them). - Aiming down the sight doesn't give you better accuracy, it just helps you see enemies that are further away. - Aiming down the sight with weapons that have a scope will reflect light at your enemies so that they know you're scoping in on them. Hope some of this helps :)
After launch I thought It would be just a loose cannon, but this shows up that Halo Infinite still has a Future :) I'm glad more people are having fun the same way I do :) Some tips: - 1v2 scenarios easily lead you to be killed, unless you have a Power Weapon (Weapons that kill easily people with one shot, like the Rocket Launcher and Sniper Rifle). - Frag Nades are useful to break enemies shields so you can kill them with a headshot (Since shields don't have Heatshot multiplier). - Plasma and Spike nades can kill people if you stick the nade to them (Needs some practice but once you learn how nades travel, you can get Cluster Luck). - Precision weapons mean any weapon that has a small bloom at the begin and can kill people with one shot on the head once shields are done. (Precision weapons are the Sidekick/Pistol, BR/Burst Rifle, Shock Rifle, Stalker Rifle, VK75/Commando Rifle and Bandit Rifle) - Plasma weapons are good against shields but terrible with none-shield damage.
Here's another tip. Remember the weapon triangle of kinetic, plasma and grenades. Mainly plasma weapons are great for reducing shields, and kintecti weapons (bullet weapons) are great for when their shields are down

no way handler is playing my favourite game series, halo has changed so much since it firsted launched. PLEASE do more halo content. also a tip when shooting the AR, once the reticle has expanded all the way, shoot it in short burst so the reticle wont spread as much as much as when shooting it fully auto also with the grappling hook, you can grapple literally almost any gun/equipment, including the flag. i have so many tips i could share.
BIG SHOUTOUT TO PIERRE HINTZE!!! Pierre is the new leadership, Bonnie Ross and a lot of the main culprits behinds 343's failures have either left to contaminate other ventures or are no longer with the company. He fixed MCC, and is leading the charge for Infinite's comeback 💫. The devs still at 343 are doing so much better thanks to the leadership change and the approach of hitting milestones and consistent pacing. I've been playing since launch on mouse and keyboard on my laptop through Steam. I love Infinite's gameplay, so even through the "I survived Halo Infinite Season 2: Lone Wolves and all I got was the Rakshasa core and this t-shirt 🐺👕" phase, it was still enjoyable for me! Playing consistently a few times a week I've had a great time, especially with the improvements for mouse and keyboard. Here are some bullet points for those on the fence: Stability/Desync: I average 22 - 44ms ping on wifi in southern California and I usually play in the evenings with gameplay region set to "Local" so the Desync issue wasn't really affecting my experiences. Specs: i7-10750H CPU, 16bg RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 laptop GPU. The rare times I do (1/90 ish sessions) I get up and drink water and relaunch with no issue or make beats /Blender other hobbies. Customization: Customization is fine, engage with it how you will. Do you buy a new pair of shoes every time you walk past the display? Likely not. I've bought some cool helmets like Anubis, Zvezda and Firefall, and completed the battle passes for seasons 1, 2, and 3. I'm on the free track for this season since I'm not too into the hazmat core, but either way I play for gameplay and the HALO™experience 😎. Career Rank is fine and all, I remember in one of the "Spartan Chatter" recaps with the devs they wanted to push out a first iteration of Career Progression and make the rewards better with time, but they have bigger fish to fry right now and for me, that's fine. I'm not in it to grind, I already do enough of that irl, but I do enjoy the Career Rank and getting better at the game through gameplay. Gameplay: Man oh man is it fun! When you're firing on all cylinders it's great, even in matches where you're put up against tough opponents, it feels good to be able to hit cool shots, get "Reversals" and "Ninjas" and other tricks to turn the tide. Gunplay is amazing when you get used to and get smart to each weapon and use it effectively in its intended use case. I love the Plasma Carbine/Sidekick combo: Plasma Carbine is great for 10m, mid range engagements, zoom in to track to target and strip shields and Sidekick for the headshot. Movement is great, momentum feels good. Normal movement speed and Sprint aren't that much different, Sprint exists to open you up for sliding. Positioning is still key, so be smart about using cover and I like to bounce my grenades. The sandbox is fine, I'm looking forward to more especially more goofy weapons like Fuel Rod and Plasma Caster, Sticky Det, Railgun, OG Plasma weapons and more. Not every map has to have every weapon, but some variety would be appreciated bc sometimes I'm not in a "Tacticool precision weapon" type of mood. Play HALO, have fun!
This game rocks doesn't it? Couple of tips; not sure if anyone else mentioned in the comments or not. The shield equipment; when the enemy team puts one up; you might notice a black reverse tripod looking thing at the center bottom base of it? Shoot that, and it takes the shield out. If you hit your scan hotkey, it will light up any weapon racks in your vicinity. Other than that; solid gameplay! Honestly I kinda miss this game.
Holy shit handler is playing halo. also btw, you can grapple flags if you pick it up and drop it, probably one of the best things they added in infinite since you can yoink the flag away from people or run to cover and grapple it only downside is that it doesn't work if the flag is sitting at the base point
Just a tip around 3:45, you had the grappling hook and while you can't use it while carrying the flag, you can use it to grab the flag from a distance. You can also use it with the energy sword to close the distance and get easy kills. Great video!

Just a tip: when you pick up the flag, throw it in front of you, pick it up, throw it again, and repeat. You move a lot faster with it that way

Mechanics tip, if you have the grapple, you an grapple the flag to you instead of running back to grab it. If you flag juggle you can grapple boost yourself into a sprint slide and grab the flag and toss it really far to get even more distance than a normal flag juggle. It's extremely useful and feels awesome when you pull it off
Halo has been very important to me since I was young and its good to see improvements after its roughest launch. Came back a few days ago and I still have my gripes but I hope they continue to fix/change issues because Halo is far from being done and its gameplay feels so good. One thing that keeps me feeling less enthused is when I see enemies across the map with the player outlines and scope glint (and vice versa) as it feels less rewarding when im just given their positions via glowing sun in the distance (or like in older games a triangle above their heads).
This game has some really insane movement mechanics I could see you having a ton of fun with

Edit 2: I’m sure plenty of other comments have left gameplay suggestions on how to play Halo but one thing I wanted to point out was that there are many wall-mounted weapons that outclass the starting weapons. The BR is great for longer distance engagements than the AR and Sidekick. You can also use plasma weapons to quickly strip shields, and then switch to a “headshot” weapon (BR, Sidekick, Commando, etc.)

loving this content! love the arena aspect of halo of everyone being on the same footing. by the way the equipment like the grapple is picked up and can be swapped. If you pick up camo or overshield you activate like a grapple and it gets consumed
As someone who had played halo since the 2001 this was both amazing and frustrating to watch (in the best way possible). Seeing someone play this from a cod perspective where pistols are secondary, for instance is really weird. Every gun in this game has its purpose and once you figure it out the weapon sandbox is amazing! Hope you keep playing buddy.
I'd highly recommend picking up other weapons besides the AR. Like the BR.

As someone who’s been playing the past 20 years it’s awesome to see your heavy cod style in this, blast to watch! I recommend everyone give infinite another shot it’s one of the best FPS out right now
Also if you let off the trigger for a split second while shooting the ar it quickly resets the bloom affect which makes you much more accurate, really helps you win 1v1s in social when you’re also fighting someone with an ar
the halo games have some pretty significant quirks that make it really different from other shooters and it doesn't really explain it for you. headshots against shield don't do any extra damage (except for sniper), but after you break shield precision weapons are a 1 shot headshot (all semi-autos except plasma pistol + the BR and Bulldog are precision). nades and melee are both super important for breaking shields so you can get that 1 shot headshot too

Another tip: you should check your radar more often, it's like having UAV on during all the match and definitely try and get more familiar with the sandbox, almost every weapon can be useful if you understand its advantages ("almost" the ravager sucks). A good game mode for this is fiesta.
The magnum is a 1 shot to the head in normal slayer when you break their shield so I tend to use it more than the AR
I love it when people that have never played halo try playing halo infinite now since it has gotten better over the years and it is a good place to start mainly because it is free
Just a tip, power weapons have waypoints, but there are other weapons scattered across the map. Some of them are definitely worth picking up when you get the chance.

This was awesome man and a tip for the grapple you can pick up weapons and other equipment with it,you can even grapple onto people to get a easy kill if you have sword,also punching people on the back is a one hit. Hope to see more halo vids on the channle keep up the good work!
Since we seem to be sharing Halo tips in the comments, here's my main one: when using the AR, pause briefly around half/two-thirds of the way through the mag, or around when you're breaking their shield. It'll only take a moment for the accuracy to reset, which will help you secure the one-shot to the head as soon as their shields die.
At long range you'll wanna use a few pauses per mag, whenever you notice you're not getting many hits.
When both halo players played cod & cod players played halo for the first time, this feels like the exchange of these two man-made digital games that literally depends of their skills & accuracy

If you end up playing Halo more, things to know.
1. Pistol does more dmg than AR, especially at range
2. Headshot dmg doesn't change anything until shield is broken, then it's a 1 shot to the head with the pistol with broken shields.
3. Sprinting with the flag reveals your location
4. ADS doesn't affect accuracy
5. Grenades only explode after hitting a surface so you can throw it at the ground close range if you're low on ammo.
After firing most of the previous management, 343i are pulling hard and doing a great job updating the game recently. The base gameplay was tight and highly praised at launch, but was let down by not enough content or updates. But since Infinite's forge mode is so advanced it can make maps that look dev-made, and complex gamemodes (someone literally made a full working Cod Black Ops zombies map and mode), Infinite's finally showing its potential.
Stopped playing Infinite for a solid year, but now I've jumped back on since this year, even bought a battle pass or two.
Don't know if you tried using it but the Battle Rifle would probably be up your alley. It's burst shot but decent accuracy, better if you ads. Only drawback is when you get hit it knocks you out of ads. Anyways love the Halo content from ya.
I’m sure you’ve gotten plenty of helpful comments, but also fyi, there are weapons around the map to pick up that are usually better than the spawning AR/Magnum combo. Also your “Q” isn’t just grapple, it’s an “armor ability” multiple kinds of which are spread around the map (you’ve probably figured this out by now).

Another tip: Pistol is a 1 shot to an opponent with no shields. Consider breaking shields with any AR or even a body shot from a sniper, then pull out the pistol and headshot! Its the classic go to. Love the video man i appreciate you always trying different games and making every single one of them so enjoyable you personally crave the experience.

You have to use the Battle Rifle, great at mid range. The grenades explode after one bounce, so try to throw in front of them
As someone who started playing a halo in 2001 when I was 8yo it's very fun and amusing to watch as you guys discover game mechanics that feel so fundamental to me, like carrying two "primaries" and getting grenades off of enemies. Even the mention of cooking grenades yeah Halo has never had that and doubt it will requiring consistent grenade timing+angle strats are more fun IMO. Love the vid and I am excited for Halo to be coming back into glory days

First time watching your content and just want to say that for the assault rifle, bloom goes down fairly quickly in this game. So for medium range engagements with it, I would fire it in long-ish bursts then I'd let go of firing and immediately start firing again to keep its bloom down. Also the assault rifle does a little bit of extra damage when you aim for the head compared to past Halos where I didn't notice extra damage from headshots. Very enjoyable video and it's a welcome sight seeing someone playing Halo for their first time :D

as a longtime halo player, it's wild that i can see the influence and habits COD has on your gameplay, it looks very different from someone who mainly plays halo. the duck and weave sprinting, how you swing wide while scoped in with snipers, even that whole sword spree gave me mw2 tac knife vibes.
it's really a testament to how halo has evolved its combat loop to enable both sorts of gameplay.
Never rlly got into Halo but I would love to see more videos like this one, this game has always had a good atmosphere around it!

infinite could’ve been great they just added too little too late
As a long time Halo fan I love seeing more people get into it! Couple things that I heard you guys curious about:
- ADS is purely a visual zoom, no added assist. It's great for precision weapons w/o a scope at a range, (Sidekick or Mangler pistols)
- Slides can be initiated in the air by crouching which is particularly useful on any sort of decline or slope which will give you a decent boost depending on the timing and angle
- Dropped nades can be blown up by other nades or precision weapons, probably why one of you saw one explode on the ground
- And finally, plasma does increased damage to shields, kinetic to health
Hope that clarified some things! There's a lot to learn in Halo's gameplay, especially it's sandbox. Experimentation is always encouraged
Cool tip, energy weapons are good for stripping shields, and guns are good for doing damage to nonshielded enemies, also halo combat is all about guns, melees, and grenades all being used in conjunction

Dude this was such a fun video. You should keep playing. Theres a lot of tricks to learn in Halo, different combos of weapons and equipment. Theres Mobility tricks to help you pretty much fly across the maps when you get real good lol.
GGs and welcome to the Halo community. ps you can grapple the flag to you from a far or cover. with prentice, you can grapple yourself to the flag ,hold, and superslide with the flag. that's what makes this game so special. you can use the sandbox in more than one way. your imagination is the limit.

Sorry for the info dump, but maybe you'll find some of this helpful:
- The radar at the bottom left is very useful to sneak up on enemies (If you stand still or crouch-walk, you won't show up on enemy radar).
- You have 2 primary weapons which can be swapped for anything.
- Equipment (Q) are always worth picking up and playing around (Energy Sword + Grappling hook is a great combo for zooming towards enemies).
- Pistol has one of the fastest TTKs in the game, but requires you hitting 12 shots in a row.
- While the enemy shields are up, it doesn't matter if you hit a bodyshot or a headshot since the shields share the damage. So aim for the chest until the shields are broken, then aim for the head to finish.
- The Battle Rifle is a 4 shot if you hit 3 to the body and 1 to the head.
- Whenever power weapons spawn, it's worth picking them up even if you aren't going to use them (Just so the enemies don't have them).
- Aiming down the sight doesn't give you better accuracy, it just helps you see enemies that are further away.
- Aiming down the sight with weapons that have a scope will reflect light at your enemies so that they know you're scoping in on them.

After launch I thought It would be just a loose cannon, but this shows up that Halo Infinite still has a Future :)
I'm glad more people are having fun the same way I do :)
Some tips:
- 1v2 scenarios easily lead you to be killed, unless you have a Power Weapon (Weapons that kill easily people with one shot, like the Rocket Launcher and Sniper Rifle).
- Frag Nades are useful to break enemies shields so you can kill them with a headshot (Since shields don't have Heatshot multiplier).
- Plasma and Spike nades can kill people if you stick the nade to them (Needs some practice but once you learn how nades travel, you can get Cluster Luck).
- Precision weapons mean any weapon that has a small bloom at the begin and can kill people with one shot on the head once shields are done. (Precision weapons are the Sidekick/Pistol, BR/Burst Rifle, Shock Rifle, Stalker Rifle, VK75/Commando Rifle and Bandit Rifle)
- Plasma weapons are good against shields but terrible with none-shield damage.
Here's another tip. Remember the weapon triangle of kinetic, plasma and grenades. Mainly plasma weapons are great for reducing shields, and kintecti weapons (bullet weapons) are great for when their shields are down

also a tip when shooting the AR, once the reticle has expanded all the way, shoot it in short burst so the reticle wont spread as much as much as when shooting it fully auto
also with the grappling hook, you can grapple literally almost any gun/equipment, including the flag. i have so many tips i could share.

BIG SHOUTOUT TO PIERRE HINTZE!!! Pierre is the new leadership, Bonnie Ross and a lot of the main culprits behinds 343's failures have either left to contaminate other ventures or are no longer with the company. He fixed MCC, and is leading the charge for Infinite's comeback 💫. The devs still at 343 are doing so much better thanks to the leadership change and the approach of hitting milestones and consistent pacing.
I've been playing since launch on mouse and keyboard on my laptop through Steam. I love Infinite's gameplay, so even through the "I survived Halo Infinite Season 2: Lone Wolves and all I got was the Rakshasa core and this t-shirt 🐺👕" phase, it was still enjoyable for me! Playing consistently a few times a week I've had a great time, especially with the improvements for mouse and keyboard. Here are some bullet points for those on the fence:
Stability/Desync:
I average 22 - 44ms ping on wifi in southern California and I usually play in the evenings with gameplay region set to "Local" so the Desync issue wasn't really affecting my experiences. Specs: i7-10750H CPU, 16bg RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 laptop GPU.
The rare times I do (1/90 ish sessions) I get up and drink water and relaunch with no issue or make beats /Blender other hobbies.
Customization:
Customization is fine, engage with it how you will. Do you buy a new pair of shoes every time you walk past the display? Likely not. I've bought some cool helmets like Anubis, Zvezda and Firefall, and completed the battle passes for seasons 1, 2, and 3. I'm on the free track for this season since I'm not too into the hazmat core, but either way I play for gameplay and the HALO™experience 😎. Career Rank is fine and all, I remember in one of the "Spartan Chatter" recaps with the devs they wanted to push out a first iteration of Career Progression and make the rewards better with time, but they have bigger fish to fry right now and for me, that's fine. I'm not in it to grind, I already do enough of that irl, but I do enjoy the Career Rank and getting better at the game through gameplay.
Gameplay:
Man oh man is it fun! When you're firing on all cylinders it's great, even in matches where you're put up against tough opponents, it feels good to be able to hit cool shots, get "Reversals" and "Ninjas" and other tricks to turn the tide. Gunplay is amazing when you get used to and get smart to each weapon and use it effectively in its intended use case. I love the Plasma Carbine/Sidekick combo: Plasma Carbine is great for 10m, mid range engagements, zoom in to track to target and strip shields and Sidekick for the headshot. Movement is great, momentum feels good. Normal movement speed and Sprint aren't that much different, Sprint exists to open you up for sliding. Positioning is still key, so be smart about using cover and I like to bounce my grenades. The sandbox is fine, I'm looking forward to more especially more goofy weapons like Fuel Rod and Plasma Caster, Sticky Det, Railgun, OG Plasma weapons and more. Not every map has to have every weapon, but some variety would be appreciated bc sometimes I'm not in a "Tacticool precision weapon" type of mood.

This game rocks doesn't it? Couple of tips; not sure if anyone else mentioned in the comments or not. The shield equipment; when the enemy team puts one up; you might notice a black reverse tripod looking thing at the center bottom base of it? Shoot that, and it takes the shield out. If you hit your scan hotkey, it will light up any weapon racks in your vicinity. Other than that; solid gameplay! Honestly I kinda miss this game.

also btw, you can grapple flags if you pick it up and drop it, probably one of the best things they added in infinite since you can yoink the flag away from people or run to cover and grapple it only downside is that it doesn't work if the flag is sitting at the base point

Just a tip around 3:45, you had the grappling hook and while you can't use it while carrying the flag, you can use it to grab the flag from a distance. You can also use it with the energy sword to close the distance and get easy kills. Great video!
