Mike, if I could have given that 10 thumbs up I would, that was absolutely brilliant, and just what I needed today. Fingers crossed we’ll be running that train for real soon. For me, THAT day will have come when I am standing in a hall surrounded by fellow enthusiasts admiring other people’s model railway layouts and buying a ton of stuff I don’t need. Never thought I’d miss it so much. Cheers!
Hi, A super little video story very well filmed and controlled and the green screen effects add to the illusion. I do know one lot of passengers who will not be happy it is the sleeping coach ones who will be kept awake with all the others going to the Restaurant and Buffet coach !!! Keep safe and well. Cheers Robert.
Haha well yes it was a very intense day of filming then editing, I had been working on the script and planing the moves for a few weeks before, so very glad you liked it
Very entertaining! :) Looks like you used a background picture for the scene where the full train is shunted into the mainline station and maybe then changed the background for the morning scenery? Interesting idea!
Thanks very much Steve, yes the original photo was black and white but I changed to to give it a smokey evening glow, also had to 'bend' the photo to suite my layout curvature. Glad you enjoyed it
That was brilliant as always Mike, very entertaining. Simple story line and it makes it so much more interesting. Loved the change of the backscenes, very clever. Guessing your new layout will be taking that all into account with long runs with everchanging scenery. Regards Chris
I love the driver in the cab of the 04 at 6:37 in blue overalls .... My man would be wearing black with an orange vest - as I'm in the early to mid 80's. Great vids, keep 'em coming.
Sadly not, as I wouldn't have room or storage to have an end to end layout :( But if I do end up having one, I'd like a Class 04 - lovely little shunter and a nice alternative to a Class 08.
Another brilliantly composed video Mike. I just hope you are not celebrating the end of covid too soon. We have been told to expect a third wave of infection beginning in April. I hope they are wrong. Take care, David.
Hi David, many thanks indeed. I am very sure 2021 is written off or should be if we want to come out of this, I was more looking to the future when things are better.
@@ModelRailwaysUnlimited Hi Mike, I think you are probably right. I expected things to get worse as the new year and vaccinations got under way but I also expected things to improve dramatically by mid April/ May and that I would feel safe enough to travel again in time for the Warley show in Nov. I am slowly coming to the conclusion that this year will be a write off and travel will have to wait until spring 2022. Hope I'm wrong and things get back to "normal" soon. Regards, David.
@@trainsontuesday The lock-down here in the UK is only that in name, people are out and about and breaking the rules on mass, the virus will take a heavy toll, I just lost a good friend and fellow driver at my depot to this, so it is very real here. Take care David.
When I opened the detail pack that came with my br green shunter the horn piece got lost. Am I able to get a replacement spare part just for the horn anywhere?
@@ModelRailwaysUnlimited Well it was in the garage and the floor has alot of debris on it as you would expect but I had a good look and nothing. Had a look on their website and no Spares I could see for the 04. Any advice?

When running my 04 Bachmann br green shunter have noticed it isn't as quiet as some of the other bachmann models I have and has slight motor noise even at slow speeds. Does yours produce some noise and is this normal for this model?
@@ModelRailwaysUnlimited Ok thanks for the info and no as I have only just bought it a few weeks ago. How do I go about servicing it? Can you talk me through the procedure and what I need to oil and clean etc?

My bachmann 04 shunter in br blue has arrived but when it runs over the points it catches them and I think I have pinpointed it to the small part of the body that juts out next to the middle wheel. What can I do about this?
@@ModelRailwaysUnlimited I thought the same but I think it maybe the slightly raised part on the body underneath next to the middle wheel. How do I sort it if it's that?
@@ModelRailwaysUnlimited Ok basically it's a raised up bit that is the same shape of the bottom end of the wheel on the bottom of the body. Does yours have the same on your 04 body? Also what's your fb page?

Hi Andrew, I am so grateful, would be great if we could arrange a RUclips chocho one day?
Good story. Good trains. Good photography. Good effects. And some Leroy Anderson to go. 🏆 🙂
Thanks very much indeed! Makes it all worth while :)

Nice story Mike , good coordination with the sounds
Many thanks! Glad you said that as I put as much time into the sounds as I do the video lol Cheers Dave hope you are both ok?
Love your soundovers - really adds weight to the models 🙂
Thanks! 🙂 I mostly use my own collections but often I get the kind permission of other RUclips members to use their sounds.
Great video, I love watching these style videos.
