- Living during the early 17th century was probably some of the absolute worst times to be alive. There was any number of diseases and plagues that would literally wipe out entire cities. In today's epic new video we're going back in time to the early 1600s in London to see what would definitely kill you back then, but today could be totally cured!

Bold of you to assume I wouldn’t claim to be the descendant of Richard of Shrewsbury, raise an army, and restart the War of the Roses while the English War was going on, realize he was 10 when he disappeared from the Tower of London, and in turn be killed by Oliver Cromwell himself.
Fun Fact:
Henry V's cause of death was officially noted in the palace records as "pure displeasure and melancholy" (that's basically olde english for: he committed suicide) but he was most likely beaten to death with wooden clubs.

I believe it is highly unlikely for somebody to die from bleeding hemorrhoids. In the Roman empire, I understand the remedy was cautherization with a red hot iron. At least, it stopped bleeding. Around that time, in some other place people used a mixture of honey with something else. At least, it didn't hurt

In 1665 in...and I can't stress this enough...an actual medical journal written by top physicians of the time, a plague cure has the moss off a dead man's skull and 1 and a quarter cups of unicorn horn in it . Fair to say with such brilliant doctor's like that you would die from just about any sickness. 🤣

The 17th century is 1600/1601-1699/1700.... 1770/1822 are both in the late 18th and early 19th century
