Nice question, i believe being a 4th year aero guy i can answer it better, to be honest aero is very hectic in all 4 iits, because its advanced mechanics + aerodynamics. The pressure of study will increase from the 2nd year onwards, study is good and interesting. Like at the end of the second year you will be familiar with structural mechanics, gas dynamics, aerodynamics, at the end of 3rd year you will have good grip on flight dynamics and aircraft propulsion. From the 4th year you will have optional elective courses. If you want to maintain a good cgpa then you have to study a lot in aero, time management will be very difficult especially if you get involved in extra curricular activities. I hope this helps
