    Rinseless is one of my favorite "quick detailers" for interiors. I use it everytime I wash my vehicle at the very end to make a quick wipe down of the interior! It works absolutely fantastic for "quick wipe downs" on all interior surfaces (including glass and fabrics) although, again, it's a quick wipe down product on the interior. It's not going to do the heavy hitting on the interior, but works incredible for those quick wipe downs on the interiors. I have yet to try DIY, but I have just about every other rinseless wash on the market. I bought a bunch of different ones over the years in a quest for the best one. My favorites to this day are American Detailer Garage (Billy Baugess' operation) WIPEOUT and FUZION! Both are incredible rinseless washes. FUZION is a foaming hybrid rinseless but it's dilution is MUCH lower than the normal 256:1 like most of the other ones. I think it's 64:1 or something like that, but when you need the extra "punch" of a foaming rinseless, FUZION is a great one. Smell's incredible too! Like a tropical scent. I also love ONR (I have Version 5.0 at the moment), and McKee's N914 along with Feynlab when I want a straight, heavy duty rinseless. Another great one is ECO Wash by Owners Pride but I just don't like that intense blueberry scent it has. I wish Owners Pride would offer a 'fresh scent' version. I've yet to try all the BRAND NEW ones such as Gyeon, HERO, Drive Appearance Products, Labocosmetica, Koch Chemie, and the rest of the new introductions, but I will be trying those out in the future.

      Probably will, but each one seems to excel at one thing or another. So I'll have to break it down by a category maybe. Polymer, surfactant based, and SiO2. I have so many ideas that I'm either going to hit the target or miss the boat completely. Hero or zero. 😆

      ADS Hero and KCx Rrw have it beat on cleaning and slickness (at least until DIY V2 comes out).

    • @TheOutdoorDetailer
      @TheOutdoorDetailer  3 месяца назад

      It's actually Rinseless, despite the new marketing and sales pitch being sold. To me it cleans panels well, but leaves the surfaces feeling too clean, and therefore many towels grab instead of gliding across the surface. It does make an amazing glass cleaner though. As far as beating out everyone else, that is very subjective depending on what you are looking for. As far as versatility, yes, it is fantastic. If only using on the outside of the car, there are many better, in my opinion.

      Both Hero and RRW are finicky with how they clean and I had to really learn how much water to leave in the sponge, or all they did was leave dirty water on the panel. The DIY Rinseless and P&S Absolute for example do not act the same way.

Rrw, i disagree with cleaning better.. i was hype when Rrw was released, i mostly have KC products... i was maybe expecting more from KC since the other products i have from KC, but anyways, greatly disappointed (again, maybe it didnt meet my expectations, and not fair i guess for Rrw), i prefer HERO, DIY and after a few car washes i gave the rest of Rrw away because i figured ill never need to use it anyways... slickness tho, sure, Rrw is a bit slicker. HERO for sure is slicker than both tho.. maybe it depends on the media, i use both Diy and Rrw with flatouts and the flips only, i dont really use the sponges..

      @TheOutdoorDetailer  3 месяца назад

      I was told on the Feynlab on the v3 to dilute 3 gallons to 1 ounce rather than 2 to 1 and it will cut the suds. DIY is similar to Feynlab in that they leave the surface feeling incredibly clean, which makes my drying towel feel grabby and bunches up while wiping until it gets damp enough.

Then I pre-spray a rinseless wash ( Absolute mostly ) and then I go in for the rinseless contact wash. What's your opinion for the best rinseless? The Green Star does +90% of the work for me. If you don't have a ton of nasty oily dirt on the car, prefoam with plain wash soap. My local place sells a gallon of some cherry stuff I like for about 25 bucks and 2oz in 500ml of water does my whole car. Rinse and go into rinseless if needed. Use DIY Detail as it doesn't leave any slickness behind, nor any product to smear.

    Personally I love mostly surfactant based Rinsless, I've tried mckeys v2 but it's meh, I just love DIY, such a versatile warrior, I don't like when my rinsless is packed with ANY protection, it's just supposed to clean well and this one does, its super great for interior, exterior (maybe not pollen as you suggested but I don't get that a lot thankfully) I've tried the polymer ones but I dislike almost all of them, they have their upsides I agree, but when I clean a really dirty car - thats when the surfactant ones kick ass, for example I tried to wash after a polish step with 3d one on paint - DiY Detail destroyed it, Absolute? Not even a little

      Working on a video for the Gloss Shop Express Wash. It's impressive compared to the DIY. Zero polymers in it. Dilutable from 1oz per gallon all the way to 1oz per 3. Lower foaming, unlike the Feynlab v3.

    DIY rinseless is solid - it acts alot like mckee's N914 - the first versions of each product. I have a gallon. I usually mix a little stronger. More like 5ml per liter which is still a very tiny amount. 200:1, IMO the 256:1 dilution is targeting the american market because they use gallons - that's why its so popular. The coatings are overpriced especially C6. I would not use it for a panel prep before an expensive coating.

    • @TheOutdoorDetailer
      @TheOutdoorDetailer  3 месяца назад +1

      Their dilution of one capful per gallon is actually less than half an ounce. If you measure out 4 capfuls you will only get to 1.5 ounces. Yvan says that is the minimum dilution. 256:1 is the maximum dilution. I'm going to see if I mix it 1:128 if I get chemical left on the glass like in my Feynlab test. As far as panel prep, I also would not use it, and have seen zero evidence that it would work, but the face of the company made that claim, so I placed it in the video.

    Have you tried it as a waterless wash? At what dilution?

    • @jeffc6832
      @jeffc6832 3 месяца назад

      DIY rinseless was not designed for this, 256:1 is the dilution for all cleaning and clay lube, though they also recommend the addition of their Iron Remover (for decon) or Ceramic Gloss (for wash/clay/seal) for additional lubrication. They have a dedicated waterless wash product.

    • @TheOutdoorDetailer
      @TheOutdoorDetailer  3 месяца назад

      While many companies suggest multiple different dilutions based on what you are trying to accomplish, DIY only advises dilution ratios of between 256:1 and about 340:1. The 256:1 is 1 ounce per 2 gallons, and the 340:1 is about 2 capfuls per 2 gallons. If you measure out 4 capfuls into a measuring container you will likely wind up with 1.5 ounces.

      @@jeffc6832 I had been rinseless washed my cars weekly with misted tec582. Since we don’t drive much the cars don’t get dirty much, so I started looking into a waterless wash by using ONR 16:1 as suggested by the founder in a video. It worked very well for the little amount of dirt on my cars. So now I’m looking for the most cost effective waterless wash. I bought feynlabs v3 and looking forward to evaluating it for rinseless as well as waterless. The waterless dilution at 1:128 is the most cost effective thus far and I hope it works out. And if the rinseless is better than ONR… I’m switching over.

      They're coming out with a V2 and I believe it's to address the lack of slickness issue that causes many to feel like they need a drying aid. I've never had issues with any towels other than they don't want to slide across the surface with the DIY. My advice would be a couple mists of the Bead Maker from P&S or Amplify from ADS. Both work fantastic as a drying aid. If you have an uncoated car and want to get a new bottle of something, try the Gyeon Eco Wash as it's super smooth feeling under the towel and even better if you mix as a drying aid.

      I feel like the double flips clean better than any sponge to be honest. They hold more water, don't really drip, and there are thousands of fibers to pick stuff up. The downside is that they don't rinse as easy, so it's likely best if you have multiples and always wash in between uses.
