everyone's busy focusing on the craftsmanship, which i'll admit is without a doubt amazing but i'm focused on how bro is strong enough to break metal apart with his bare hands
Files are hardened so hard that it becomes brittle thus making it easy to snap but hard to scratch. The reason why its hardened to the point where it easily broken is so that it can work on steel since most steels are hardened (dunked in oil after heating) then softened to the right hardness (oven) and files arent softened to the most durable hardness.

For people wondering how to blacksmith I think my old teacher said you just need some dirt in a box, some fuel and steel to work with, you don’t need massive arms or incredible stamina just some creativity
Absolutely beautiful this is amazing work. The only complaint I have, and I am not a blade smith so take what I’m saying with a grain of salt, is that I would give it a full tang instead of a rat tail so it is less likely to snap since this is a hunting knife and will most likely go through some tough work. But all in all this is a great knife made by a highly skilled craftsman.
We need to clarify something: if it requires tools that the average person does not have lying around (ie: a forge, anvil, or belt sander) it is not DIY.
