Some people dont understand anything about martial arts. Every style can be a good style for fighting and selfdefense. It depends on severel things: 1. Passion; 2. Master/trainer; 3. Hard work on your self; 4. Time.
actually it somtimes depend on their sensei or master somtiimes not
i completely agree. one of the students at my school quit because he said karate doesnt work. yet i have used karate that ive learned from the same teacher and used it to defend myself twice successfully being the victor (both school fights). it is your style of how you percieve and use the martial art. if you are bad at the art than it amplifies your weakness if you have a not as useful style of karate
every move in a kata has its practical use

All the people who think Karate is useless are fools and frankly shouldn't exist here on earth. Being so ignorant is the worst sin you can make. It is the most beautiful and most deadly Martial Art ever to be 'crafted'. Everything derives from it. There is no 'this is better than that'. It is only better if you put enough training, yourself! And I bet all those troll hating on Karate here on RUclips are either 11 year olds with acne and are still virgins or either 40 year olds sperm waste. Be wiser, learn from the good books and not by videos.

Dang it! I really like their bunkai but they made a big mistake in the kata! It would have been perfect! PS. The Italian audience are very rude, please shut your mouth during performance and refrain from screaming 'Italia'.
They have amazing in and out also very sharp touches

You got it right. The four major styles are the ones you just listed. But I train in shotokan.

Red belt and blue belt is competition belts on WKF system, but on Karate rank system, the red belts mean the founder of the style (ryu).

look for Tsugo Sakumoto sensei the kata is Anan. i visited sakumoto sensei's training session at a dojo with his students last summer. very cool to watch incredible timing and speed from his students. very impressed

no, in the dojo i go, it's the first belt :P But ( Aka - Red ) and ( Ao - Blue ) are the belts they use in kumite or kata
:D There are actually five traditional styles. The ones that now I remember are shotokan, shito ryu, goju ryu and wado ryu I think. The other one I can't recall. :)

I live in Okinawa and haven't heard/seen the style around here, but I did look it up. only 1, maybe 2 of the names of Japan instructors sounds like an Okinawan name. They do similar Kata as Seidokan, so I'd be interested to see it in person.
this group is shito ryu, and they play shito ryu kata, paiku. In Japan karatekas from JKA (shotokan) usually don't compete on WKF or JKF system, mostly the JKF consist of schools like Shito, Goju, and Wado.

I didn't say all shito-ryu practitioners practice Anan. I just said it's a kata from the shito-ryu style.
