whats the point of getting squirtle,ivysaur or charizard amiibo then? Pokemon trainer just trains up all 3 individually as you prefer right? so they're just collectible or just the pokemon you prefer to play all the time so you want that specifically then huh...
And yes to your original pokemon game idea poliwrath amiibo is a must have and it would be cool if u could choose whatever pokemon is your starter long as it isnt a legendary that would be silly

How does it work with Pokémon Trainer, Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard all having their own separate amiibo despite being all part of one character in-game? Like, what happens when you scan them in seperately? Since Pokémon Trainer is controlling his Pokémon, it would make more sense if just his Pokémon had amiibos, because Pokémon Trainer himself isn't actually the one doing the fighting!
If I play him I play Ivysaur because he's my favorite as a character and my favorite Pokémon is Magby, it's an interesting story, I was at a gaming museum with a friend who's a big Pokémon fan, we then go across a Pokémon shop and he buys a Pokémon plush (don't remember which one, think it was Machop) and I got Magby because he's I thought he was pretty cute, so he became my favorite Pokémon. If you meant favorite Pokémon in Smash Bros. then it's Pichu, happy to see him as I feel like he's one of the more underrated Pokémon.

Did you play Pokémon Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Leaf Green, Fire Red, Heart Gold, and Soul Silver? Because Pkmn Trainer is based in Red protagonist and champion in those games.
For me, it felt like a missed opportunity to not release an Amiibo of Pikachu and one of Eevee for Let's Go. I mean, cone one! Who wouldn't want an Eevee Amiibo? I am happy to see Links Awakening get an Amiibo, as I was worried they were dying out, but if the are releasing Amiibo for games other than Smash, it gives me hope for future Amiibo! I'm actually attempting to get a complete Amiibo set, albeit slowly. My only Smash Ultimate Amiibo is Young Link at the moment, for example.
