- Every year the stores and restaurants on our boardwalk change. Sometimes they change so often that we forget what used to be there.
Due to this, and the fact that some people are stuck at home due to the pandemic, I decided to film a ride on the Wildwood Tramcar.
For this video we started outside the Wildwoods Convention Center and made our way to 22nd in North Wildwood.

This video was beyond words, Joey... seriously... for any Wildwood junkies out there, this takes the Cake. I've not only saved this to watch over and over, but I'm sharing this with people who I also know that love Wildwood.
Wildwood is literally my favorite place in the world. I go there every summer and I get so happy whenever I’m there.
I am now 70 years old, and spent every Summer as a child up until the age of 16 'down the shore' with my parents. We stayed mostly in Seaside Park, which I love. I remember both boardwalks and remember when I used to 'play the wheels' and come home with a car load of stuffed animals. This was in the early 60's. Lots of those merchandise stores used to be wheels and other games. Kinda sad to see them go. My parents would play the wheels for towels, cigarettes, and candy. In this video of yours, I was surprised to see so many average looking Americans walking around. Last time I was there, I saw quite a few 'questionables' walking around that made me a bit frightened. I live in Central Florida for 3 years now, and still have not been to a beach - can you believe that? I am still trying to adjust. I lived in Jersey for 67 years of my life, and being in Florida is like being on MARS. I watch your videos, and especially like the ones about Cape May where my husband & I shared many Summer vacations, riding our bikes around and marveling at the beauty of the Victorian homes and hydrangeas. Just saw my niece and myself getting ice cream, we live here year round and only go to the boardwalk at night for ice cream! Great video Joey!

I just want to thank you for all of your videos. I'm actually buying my 76-year-old dad an Oculus Quest 2 just to view your 360 videos on it with lol. I have yet to show my dad your channel, but I hear him sometimes at night watching recommended Wildwood videos on his RUclips channel. I need to introduce him soon because he HAS to be missing out. I can't imagine anything better, next to actually being there!!! Thanks again, preemptively, too!
Always an adventure Joey! Wildwood is the place ...for a quaint place rich in history Go a few miles down the parkway to 0 zero and Cape May sets the stage...fabulous places to see and share memories of a lifetime.
How about a boat ride like the cape may whale 🐋watcher or Cape May lewes? The outlet shops in Delaware off the Ferry is exciting as well it's almost an hour Ina half to cross over ti Delaware Bay from cape may you can take that trip by car or boat ride to the free busses to the outlet shops! Worth a vlog right?

Just took a round trip on Monday the 16th, 2021. Bucket list to do, never rode it in all my visits to Wildwood in 40 years great way to see the whole Boardwalk round trip started at 9:30 from the beginning point at the Matador only 5 people on board . Very relaxing and learned a lot about the Boardwalk, great round trip and will definitely do again. Only problem was they were packing the people in like Sardines? They put people on the ends and than in the middle of our seat totally over crowded. I mention this isn’t public transportation and we paid for the seat for ourselves. It was totally maxed out. Clear night no rain otherwise a great ride.
OMG such fun...when I was young there was a Taylor pork roll place and Groffs restaurant. We sure walked those boards. Thanks Joey...brought back memories!!
And don't forget Nates hot dogs just north of the Macks Pizza that was on Gleenwood Avenue. Think Nates only charged 4 or 5 hot dogs during weekday lunch hour back in early 60's.
We were just in Wildwood for the day on Saturday the place was packed we could not get a room for the weekend. But it is great to see the island thriving. We will be back the last week of August before Labor Day. Great video.

Looks like about a dozen stores closer on the Boardwalk. Never saw more then 2 or 3 . Darn pandemic hurt everybody. Great color on you vids. Thanks for keeping us informed on the Wild woods.

Has the tram car ever hit anybody. And was it ever very bad ?? I always wondered this as I come down every yr since I was a baby. Now I'm went from bringing my kids to now my kids and grand child... juss curious lol

Some where in Wildwood there's a museum with items from the 50s and 60s. If you can, try to video it. Some of us are from that age (old).
