My first attempt at cutting a wefted wig to turn it into a topper! Please excuse the no makeup, I’ve been home sick so I’m playing in my wig room, lol!
I know this is an older video, but I just recently did this to one of my wigs. My difficulty is knowing how to place that lace edge and still use some bio hair. There’s a line of demarcation no matter what I try. How do you get your bio hair to blend on the front of a lace front?
That’s hard for me, too. I cut the lace front to about 1/4” or so near the part, where it shows the most as there’s a swooping side bang. In addition, I cut the lace in an irregular scalloped/ zigzag manner, as it blends in better. Those 2 tricks helped a lot to blend better with my hairline. Sometimes you need to glue the lace front down with It Stays of Got to be Glued to help as well. I prefer to have a light/ medium bang if possible to avoid this problem.

Is it possible to cut a full lace wig into a topper? There’s no open wefts.
