I would've never thought to check the top of the tree. I figured it would be through the Nether portal. The fact that the Nether portion does have its own parkour and redstone puzzle reinforced that.
Me too, I was flying through in creative mode and i assumed you started at the top - I didn't realise there wasn't a way up in survival other than the puzzle... I guess a notch apple and full iron armor is worth it, though!

The roller coaster one I died cause I was in survival because I missed the levers and got out of the minecart, and I did not know the mash up world had that mansion cause I only explored the roller coaster pretty much
