    Wow. You want to see retributive punishment? Just because you're one of the lucky ones who has seemingly escaped it? You want it for others, though? They deserve it, right?
    Jesus told his disciples they were evil for wishing for fire to reign down on a town when they rejected them. Isn't that what you are doing? "Punish them, Lord!" cries Cliff Goldstein.
    God, indeed, wants all to be saved. He has enough power to do it. He has enough love to do it. He has the will to do it. Job rightly proclaims that God's plans cannot be thwarted.
    "The last rays of merciful light, the last message of mercy to be given to the world, is a revelation of His character of love." EGW, COL. The last message isn't justice. It isn't punishment. It's isn't fear-mongering. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE.
    Cliff sounds like someone else: "Every sin must meet its punishment, urged Satan." (EGW, DA)

      Yeah, been seeing this kind of nastiness from Clifford and those cut from his cloth for a while now.
      Look at how the Sabbath School Lesson is written; the author of the lesson is taking a design law, actions-come-from-natural consequence approach to how they understand God's justice and then you see this demented Pharisee (because that's what he is at the end of the day) pushing his penal-legal distortions of understanding the Great Controversy.
      Him and his ilk are the reason the Seventh-day Adventist Church have not been able to take the final message of mercy to a dying world. This is because they take a false Christ with a false gospel that has a form of righteousness that denies the very power of God to deliver a sinner and make him/her a saint of the Most High.
      Merely look at what's happening to the General Conference's Public Affairs and Religious Liberty department-their literally embracing the Papacy and it's because we have embraced Romish principles and methods ourselves.
      Clifford and his ilk are all dumb dogs.
      9 All you beasts of the field, come to devour,
      All you beasts in the forest.
      10 His watchmen are blind,
      They are all ignorant;
      They are all dumb dogs,
      They cannot bark;
      Sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.
      11 Yes, they are greedy dogs
      Which never have enough.
      And they are shepherds
      Who cannot understand;
      They all look to their own way,
      Every one for his own gain,
      From his own territory.
      12 “Come,” one says, “I will bring wine,
      And we will fill ourselves with intoxicating drink;
      Tomorrow will be as today,
      And much more abundant.”
      Isaiah 56:9-12 NKJV

    This man is wicked-he suggests that the curses came from God himself and not as a result of sin, he believes God's justification-God empowering men to be holy as He is holy is a vicarious legal application of righteousness up in heaven while the sinner still remains wicked and impure, he believes God must inflict a penalty on His own Son for the sin of humankind.
    Absolutely wicked; I have no clue why any Adventist with a frontal lobe would platform this guy whose delusions have gotten him envision God with the attributes of the evil one. I would say that that is the the unpardonable sin-attesting the work of God to the work of Satan and the work of Satan to the work of God.
    In the following words, Ellen White states the following which gets right to the heart of the issue:
    “In rejecting the truth, men reject its Author. In trampling upon the law of God, they deny the authority of the Lawgiver. It is as easy to make an idol of false doctrines and theories as to fashion an idol of wood or stone. Satan leads men to conceive of God in a false character, as having attributes which he does not possess. A philosophical idol is enthroned in the place of Jehovah; while the true God, as he is revealed in his word, in Christ, and in the works of creation, is worshiped by but few. Thousands deify nature, while they deny the God of nature. Though in a different form, idolatry exists in the Christian world today as verily as it existed among ancient Israel in the days of Elijah. The God of many professedly wise men, of philosophers, poets, politicians, journalists,-the God of polished fashionable circles, of many colleges and universities, *even of some theological institutions,* - is little better than Baal, the sun-God of Phoenicia.” 4SP 399.1
    This letter was given to Ellen White's sons, in the advent of the fact that the conference was completely going contrary to her counsel and continually spun her words against to say things she didn't say as she illustrates in this letter.
    “I have a work to do, and I am now making decisions. I must remain away from Conference meetings. I must not attend camp-meetings. The spirit of drawing apart, as the result of judging one another, has become so common, and the churches are becoming so leavened with this spirit that I have no desire to attend these meetings. After returning from them, it is often weeks before I am able to take up my neglected work.
    Because those in positions of responsibility have for years left the Southern field unworked, notwithstanding the most decided testimonies urging them to take up this work; because they continue to neglect this field, and use every manner of device in trying to uproot the confidence of the people in those who have done the hardest and most self-sacrificing work in the South, I have but very little confidence that the Lord is giving these men in positions of responsibility spiritual eyesight and heavenly discernment. I am thrown into perplexity over their course; and I desire now to attend to my special work, to have no part in any of their councils and to attend no camp-meetings nigh or afar off. My mind shall not be dragged into confusion by the tendency they manifest to work directly contrary to the light that God has given me. I am done. I will preserve my God-given intelligence.
    My voice has been heard in the different Conferences and at camp-meetings. I must now make a change. I cannot enter the atmosphere of strife and then have to bear testimonies that cost me much more than those to whom they are sent can imagine. When I attend the different meetings, I am compelled to deal with men standing in responsible places who I know are not exerting an influence that God can endorse. And when I bear a testimony in reference to their course of action, advantage is taken of this testimony. These men have not clear understanding. Should I say the things that I know, they would not, with their present experience, use this instruction wisely and would bring upon me inconceivable burdens.
    I shall, therefore, leave them to receive word from the Bible, in which the principles upon which they should work are laid down in straight lines.
    There are those who look upon themselves as the Lord's servants, but who, as shown by the way in which the Southern work has been handled, are working away from the light that God has for years been giving. I have pity for them, but I cannot be forever pointing out for them the way of righteousness. They are brought no nearer right actions by what I say than if the words were never spoken. So long as those in responsible positions see things through a false medium, they will put a wrong construction on my work.” 17LtMs, Lt 186, 1902, par. 4 - 17LtMs, Lt 186, 1902, par. 8
    You are placing a work construction on the writings of Ellen White, Clifford Goldstein. You have constantly posed the idea that God would not be just in inflicting a penalty on His own Son yet Ellen White said that the great deceiver was the one responsible for the death of the Son of God.
    “Satan saw that his disguise was torn away. His administration was laid open before the unfallen angels and before the heavenly universe. He had revealed himself as a murderer. By shedding the blood of the Son of God, he had uprooted himself from the sympathies of the heavenly beings. Henceforth his work was restricted.” DA 761.2
    Yet you supposed in your article five months ago that our heavenly Father murdered His very Son! Oooh, how modern Adventism has gone from the platform of truth; how it has now ecumenically aligned itself with Rome. It is because it has given itself over to Romish principles and methods; it's of no wonder the denominational church is in apostasy when such principles and methods are cherished and practiced.
    You are a dumb dog that can't have enough; a dumb dog that can't bark; a dumb dog given over to idolatry and attributing the work of Satan to that of God.
    You need to commit yourself to true heartfelt repentance; you have done in awful work in your service of God by attributing the work of the evil one to that of the Lord.
