It only occurred to me after the fact that my original mastery mode run was also on the same map and mode lol, but regardless that should make a good comparison of how the updated version has shaken things up.

Would love to see a late game video for mastery mode on hard where you can make income for a good defense, just so we can see how much more nutty it gets in the 100s/200s if you make it
If you ca farm you could get a vtsg and paragons so it wouldn't be much of a challenge

I honestly think a BFB should turn into a ZOMG, and a ZOMG turns into a group of 3 (or maybe even 4 or 5) DDTs. Just makes more sense in terms of progression in my opinion.

???? tack zone has 4 base pierce, p-training and 4xx alch gives it 4 more pierce so it becomes 8.... have u never seen more than 7 bloons clumped together?

The equivelent of this hasn't been done on btd5. On impoppable it's impossible but on hard (which would make it the equivalent) it's most likely doable but incredibly hard. I was trying it a few years ago but had only gotten to round 47. I didn't put too much time into it though and am thinking about returning to it watching this video lol
I should prolly add it has been done on easy though using blade maelstroms lol
For me, mastery mode is rather easy to do with engi with It's speciality building into apache on round 40-ish

maybe the carpet of spikes would have been better on round 102 since it would have been an alright Bloon defense as well as insane against the Moab spam

Why did you go for 502 mortar? I thought 502 was for (moab) damage and 520 was for (ceramic) stun
The move here is probably a maxed buff master bomber as it has a high DPS and stun but that woulda been boringgg

Honestly yeah, the synergy of putting an inconsistent tower (like the biggest one) with a consistent tower (spactory) is one of my favorite things, like it just feels so right.
Try Mastery Mode + ABR (Maybe a maximum of 2 farms so it isn't too easy)

You could have gone for a 5-0-2 tackshooter instead for a second tackshooter which is only 2-0-4 after you had this one down you wouldn't have to worry about anything until round 100 at least

Every time I see videos on Mastery Mode i always end up questioning the decisions on which bloons get upgraded to which. Why Purples to FLeads if not Blacks to Leads? Then again, the Black/White/Purple split upon upgrading Pinks complicates things. Personally i'd do Pinks to Purples, Purples to Leads, Blacks to Leads (for round 20 leads), Whites to Zebras, Leads to FLeads, Zebras to Rainbows, Rainbows to Ceramics, FLeads to FCerams, Ceramics to MOABs, camgrow Ceramics to DDTs. I'd probably keep the BFB->DDT too though, just because it's interesting.

i assume its because purples and f-leads both cause problems for a lot of towers
blacks kind of do the same, but most towers with explosions have another attack, other than bomb (and with bomb, you usually go for bottom path which has black popping anyway)
and whites literally only affect ice tower
also, purple and lead destroy projectiles that cant damage them, while black and white dont
and im guessing their reasoning for not doing purples to regular leads is that its much less of a challenge compared to fortified leads (plus fortified leads arent that common, so it's pretty cool that this mod makes them show up more often)
black to lead would make a lot of sense though, since it still means you need to have something that can pop black bloons

in btd5 mastery pinks become blacks blacks and whites become leads leads become zebras and cash from popping bloons was cut in half at 31 instead of 50 in my opinion 76 is easier than non mastery because its not regrow anymore

Omg idk why but not seeing him using the primary mentoring(I think that's what it is called, the 5-0-0 village) made me scratch my head so hard he was like "guys we are struggling with ceramics & we are playing tack so..."(all the 300000 round 76 challenges running through my head) YESS HE'S FINALLY GOING TO USE IT "what about a funny crosspath biggest one?" 😶
Well just like the biggest one's issue, the primary expertise is too slow with its attack so you'll end up with super cerams rushing by the defense.
@@jasonchiu272 u right but it would make the tack deal +1 damage, make the overdrive spam cheaper & boost pierce(I'm pretty sure it does I could be wrong). Also he hovered it like 5 times but I guess he did it for the content bc tack + primary = op

@@sonahtdas5816 "adds mega balista attack, plus all primary monkeys in radius get more popping power, ability cooldowns decreased further and tier 1 and 2 upgrades for free" - the tower description on the game.

I remember playing Bloons TD 6 with CHIMPS that didn’t increase income. Just the bloons pops added cash. It was pain but fun.

@@Awesometon55 CHIMPS has two income sources - bloon pops and end of round cash. That end of round cash wasn't given in the very early days.
@@calvindang7291 can confirm this. It was unintended and it was harder (by hard I mean, nearly impossible) to get 2 Tower CHIMPS back then
