With so much to do during the day, cooking needs to be done fast. The Brieftons Food Chopper is a versatile and indispensable kitchen tool that makes cooking quicker, easier, and more fun.
HOW TO USE
Place the food chopper on a flat, stable surface. The non-slip base will ensure that it remains stationary.
Open the lid and place the blade on the locating pin in the base of the container.
Chop soft food into golf ball size chunks. Chop hard food into smaller chunks if necessary.
Place the chopped food around the blade in the container. Be sure not to fill more than two thirds full.
Locate the pin in the base of the lid into the center of the blade. Ensure the lid fits flush with the container.
With one hand push down firmly on the lid of the food chopper. Use your free hand to pull the rip cord that spins the chopping blades.
At first pull the cord gently to ensure it is moving freely. If there is resistance from hard food like carrots, start the chopping process with short pulls.
If the blade doesn't move freely, open the lid to check that the blade has been located correctly into the lid. Reposition large chunks around the blades if necessary.
A complete pull on the cord will chop food sixteen times. To reach a desired consistency of your food, open the lid and inspect food every second or third pull.
TIPS
How fine or coarse your food is will depend on the number of pulls you do.
1 - 5 pulls for coarse, chunky cuts
6 - 10 pulls for medium to fine cuts
11 - 20 pulls for fine to very fine cuts
20 or more pulls for very fine of puree consistency.
HOW TO CLEAN
Cleanup is a snap.
Use a damp cloth with detergent to remove any food from the base of the lid. Do not submerge the lid under water when cleaning.
The rest of the unit is dishwasher safe, and can simply be washed with some soapy water.

i have owned and tried 2 types of manually operated choppers #1 sting pulled type (like the above) and #2 crank/lever rotation type and prefer the 2nd kind as strings eventually snap/break :(
So. how do you replace the ripcord after it breaks (and it will break at some point....)? I am also a chef, and I know from experience that anything that can break, will.

I have a similar chopper. It has stopped working because one of lock holding its machinery is not fully closed. When i pull string it does not go to its original position again. What should i do to make it work.

Ever tried to chop leeks? I love them but chopping them into little bits makes my hands smell for days. Even after washing over & over with stainless steel “soap” which works great for things like fishy smells.

Sriharsha C V you are welcome, I clean blades often without a dishwasher..... just take your time with the blade as it is sharp!!!! Never rush wash blades, done that once. Never will I wash like that again...So just take your time and then rinse all the soap off. 🙂
* can't we remove the upper part seprate and clean. I doubt some small onions debris may be left inside. That may form fungus lateron.
Put a bit of soap and fill with water. Operate it as normal.works for blenders too
