Hi Guys, I noticed some comments mentioning the Jacksons actually performed 5 songs. I will do a video covering the renaming two soon. Thanks for the heads up!! 😁
@Dereck Reacts Dont worry about it. Please keep doing more MJ performances, its nice to have something that makes me happy to look forward to, and these reactions certainly does that :-) Thanks so much!
@@ProofCare ya I know..many conflicts we're going on with some companies and agencies for his albums...and he was insisted to be murdered...he started taking drug injections or may be someone used to give him overdose medicines and drugs... everyone closest to him betryed with him and put him to death....we r still here for mj's justice...he was murdered for his huge wealth and fame...but fans r always with him and will be for him in future also..he is the real king🥰🥰🥰
@@ProofCare that's so disheartening..that mallice killed his emotions and u seems to be one of his biggest fan as I am...god will punish all who directly and indirectly hurted and killed Michael and Sushant also
Glad someone said it. mj was actually in terrible shape here yet he still performed better than everyone else... You can just see his mannerisms aren't quite the same maybe due to the drugs he was on here. A 70% michael is still better than 100% other pop stars
This was The Michael Jackson 30th Anniversary Concert. It was filmed over 2 days, Sept 7th and Sept 10, 2001. Parts of this were literally filmed less than 12 hours before the world changed on 9/11. I attended both nights. The concerts were a collage of different artists paying tribute to MJ and this part was the opening to the Jackson portion of the show. N'Sync was there on 9/7 to take the stage with the brothers. It was an awesome show but MJ didn't seem to be in the best health but I was so stoked to see him. Micheal Beardan was MJ's music director. He is now Lady Gaga's director.
@Pink Salt I did not know that. My sister and I were suppose to be in the WTC that morning. We slept in cause his 9/10 concert went really late. So in a way...he saved our lives.
I love Michael he was amazing such a great person and extremely talented him and his brothers killed this performance I watch this concert all the time rip king😇🙏🏻👑💕
This was so iconic because Michael haven't done a concert in the US since 1988-1989 during the Bad tour. Also very much significant for the Jacksons, since all of the 6 brothers haven't performed together since 1984 from the Victory tour.
I was in middle when this concert premiered live, i believe it was on e8ther abc or cbs, i was instantly hooked and my parents got me all the jackson 5 albums. This concert was my introduction to their music and i quickly got into Jackson 5, MJs solo work, and their sister, Janet.
This was performed on September 10, 2001. Yes, the night before September 11, 2001. To think of the happiness in Madison Square Garden, in New York City, and the next day, disaster. Also, I think I am correct to say, this was his last performance with his brothers, and in the U.S.
Awesome reaction my mom taped this off TV and showed it to me a couple days later and I've been a Michael Jackson an fan of his brothers ever since but can I also say Marlon's a good dancer I know Michael gets all the credit but he can dance pretty good to
I was hoping this was the medley they did at Motown 25...now THAT is one worth reacting to :) I love any MJ performances but this one reminds me of a more volatile time in his life. It was still an incredible concert. ❤️💕
I don’t understand why you didn’t put that last two songs in? They were part of the medley as well? The last song of this medley is when Nsync turn up? Very strange!
This song (can you feel it) is also EXTREMELY spiritual.. if you see the original vid of it.. it’s very much about spiritual ‘energy’ and it’s influence!
The moment they are together with the torch, that instrumental is from the song HISTORY. Thank you Dereck loved your reaction. Could you please react to BREAK OF DAWN? 💖💖💖😘👏👏👏🌈
On the ABC song...Did you listen to Randy saying "You down with OPP" ? then Michael came up to Randy asking him to stop saying OPP and Randy pushed Michael and told Michael to go on. So many Moonwalkers notice that right away on screen and those that were there live. That part was talked of the show. It can be read about on the internet.
Feels like you are bringing Michael back to life with these reactions, I am so grateful & happy you are doing them and sharing your insight ❤️ My recomendation for your next Michael Jackson reaction is "Shake your body" from 1987 and one of the first Bad tour concerts in Japan. "Shake Your Body" was only performed at the first stage of the Bad Tour, which makes it even more rare and special. Video: ruclips.net/video/PiFe1Z1Dt7A/видео.html Peace & love! /L
Thanks, but this is only half performance... You have to finish it And please react to The Jackson 5 Medley: Stand!, Who's Loving You, I Want You Back (on The Ed Sullivan Show)
thomas simpson you on about this medley? I know! I thought he paused it just to say something for a second then he went in and on about the lyrics of the three songs then I saw it was near the end.
The song can you feel it was not written by Michael it was Randy Jackson co written with michael two brothers wrote the song together that's why if you ain't blind to see randy sang the first verse of the song 🤦🏿♂️
i thought MJ had been canceled. i haven't heard a song of his for several years now. Interesting choice to highlight the artistry, which was superb in every way, but omit any societal context. Thomas Jefferson penned "All men are created equal" yet he owned slaves. i looked differently at Jefferson when i learned that and i sort of look at MJ in the same way.
Why would a man that was investigated by the FBI, Santa Barbara Sheriffs and vindicated in a court of law be cancelled? Michael Jacksons music sold and did better chart wise in 2019 and 2020 thus far than it did in 2015-2018. You are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty, so Dereck is actually doing an excellent job of respecting that. Dereck should be commended for for that, not bashed! We are living in a society with a judical system in place, thats the bottom line.
You must live a sad life. Idk where you live but MJ is still played on the radio daily here in US, Cali. XM radio just gave MJ his own station through this weekend along with other greats. Also watch Square One documentary on Amazon or here on RUclips. God bless 🙏
What am I getting at? Really? OJ was found innocent doesn't mean he really was. I live a sad life because I don't see it your way? And for the record I didn't bash Derek. Questioning someone's approach to a topic is not impugning them personally as bad. So I have to be 100% behind everything or I'm against it? Sorry but I'm going to say what I think and feel on a public platform. Deal with it!

Your cute can we be friends ? I live in New York 😋
MJ was, is and always will be a special being. Other worldly. A gift. A unique talent. Extraordinary. Magical.
Great reaction. I was lucky enough to see Michael in concert twice. He was a true showman. Hello from the UK.x
Awesome. Where abouts did u see him performing?

@@nirvanafan500 I noticed it in 2000 when I saw it on tv. MJ looked frail to me. especially with Briney spears.
Dereck, you said it's historic! It's actually a part of his song "history" that little break he does!

At 50 years to move like that 🥶🥶
8:05 that’s a James brown move. A lot of his moves are inspired by James brown and Jackie Wilson
Fam E it’s not about mj giving credit. It’s about Dereck not knowing
Guys I know that MJ was inspired by James Brown...(so yes I did know)
@@DereckReacts some people think only they know about everything and rest are ignorant
Mike is so energetic,In fact that we all know that hes not feeling well that time 2001.He had problem in sleeping.
I love your reactions to Michael and how you break it down and let everyone take it in this concert was amazing💙 I love you Michael

Where’s the rest of the performance 🤷♂️😡
